Bruneau Dunes Campground is part of Bruneau Dunes State Park in Idaho (1 hr 9 min southeast of Boise, ID) with an elevation of 2,506 feet. There are a total of 117 campsites including 2 cabins. The campground is open all year. 115 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 31 and 101 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. 80 sites have electric and water hookups. 2 sites have water hookups. Fees range from $21.00 to $67.00. Some amenities include dump station, restroom, amphitheater, horse stable, flush toilets. Activities include fishing, horseback riding, hiking trails, ohv allowed from campsite.

Bruneau Dunes State Park, which boasts the tallest single-structured sand dune in North America, with a peak rising 470 feet above the surrounding desert, is one of our favorite campgrounds. Located just an hour southeast of Boise, it features two main camp loops, along with a nearby equestrian campground. Campsites are fairly close together, but that's never been an issue for us. The dunes are nearby and boards can be rented at the visitor center. All campsites include water and electricity hookups and there is a free dump station, along with free hot showers in the restroom buildings. The campground is most pleasant during the spring and fall. It's a little miserable during the heat of the summer.
