We love camping here. The sites are unique as they are wooded and private. We wish all campgrounds were like these. Very clean restrooms/showers. We return yearly.

Awesome campground. We stayed three nights in a tent on the south slope, site #24. Great site. Lots of room at the site and space between the campsites. Showers/restrooms were clean and staff was friendly as well. We will definitely be going back.

Quiet forested campground (we stayed 2 days on the south loop) very close to I70 without hearing the hyway. Very helpful host, super clean bathroom facilities. Would stay again

The campground was heavily wooded with a level spot. The hosts were continuously cleaning the bathhouse and small restrooms. We loved the Rickenbaugh House interpretive trail. The other trails looked inviting but we had to give up the Two Lakes Trail after 50 feet because of tons of ticks, both deer ticks and Rocky Mountain. These trails would be good after the vegetation dies. We ended up walking to both lakes on the road to avoid ticks which was very scenic.We went to the Pour Haus in Tell City for a great lunch and toured St. Meinrad Archabbey which was beautiful and free!

Very well maintained campground. Friendly host. I kayaked in lake, serene and clean. Visited monastery near by, a must see. I stayed in #15, good for very small rig and by restroom. Perfect for me! Quiet campground.

We had a great time at this hidden gem of a camping spot. Bathrooms were clean, nice toilet paper, helpful staff, beautiful camping spot with privacy while still walking distance to bathrooms/ showers and trails. The two paved loops for camping are great for bikes/ scooters. The lakes are perfect for some quiet kayaking and big hiking loops to explore.

We stayed in a Class B RV at South Slope site 7, which was nearly level. Great campground: it was incredibly quiet while we were there, and lots of understory provides good privacy between the well-separated sites. We almost never heard any road noise at all from SR 37 or I-64, and even when we did, it was barely discernible. (Not the case when we walked over to check out the North Face campground, where the road noise was more pronounced. Also, RVers take note: many, if not most, of the North Face sites would involve impossible leveling scenarios, so you'd want to do some reconnaissance before choosing one.) The newish bathhouse was spotless and in excellent condition. Unfortunately, the showers were all unavailable throughout our nearly week-long visit (there was no explanation, but they appeared to be undergoing a repainting project). The dump station is not on-site, but it's easy to find a couple of miles south on SR 37. Continue past the Circle S/Citgo convenience store (will be on your right) to the Branchville Correctional Facility entrance (will be on your left, directly across the road from the Tipsaw Recreation Area entrance). After you turn left toward the correctional facility, the dump station will be on your left. Note that there are no trash cans or dumpsters at the dump station, so be sure to make use of a campground dumpster before you leave.

Lovely well maintained campground with a very welcoming staff. Lots of local attractions including St. Meinrad's Archabbey and the benedictine Monastery in Ferdinand. Both are impressive beautiful locations. We were at site 23 and the only downside was that it had some slope and was a difficult back-in for a somewhat novice driver (90 degree approach with a narrow service road and deep ditches on both sides.) Most other sites were a bit more back in friendly. Other wrinkle was that the main shower room was closed for remodeling during our stay. These things happen but it would have been helpful to know in advance since we chose our site based on its proximity to the shower house.

We were the only ones besides the host in the whole campground. Nice private spot near the bath house. Good water pressure in the showers. Definitely a nice spot.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
