The campground was well kept and very peaceful. Some neighbors ran a generator most of the day to charge batteries to run a trolling motor on their boat. Apparently no one notified them that the lake is a no propeller lake.

Soldier Lake has really gone downhill since it has changed vendors. No firewood onsite. Sites are not mowed or raked. Toilets are disgusting. Noise is not enforced whatsoever. If this is what privatized management of public lands gets us, we're getting ripped off.

Perfect base camp for adventures exploring the Delirium Wilderness, the town of Paradise, Tahquamenon falls and all other Eastern UP sites.

Simple and quiet, what more can a camper ask for.

Arrived yesterday at Site 17 and it was filthy - - toilet paper soaked in feces, used plastic utensils, candy wrappers and cans strewn everywhere. Picnic table covered with colorful but unknown goo. No sign of hosts until near dark. I am a former camp host and would be ashamed to allow this, Lots of screaming kids bicycling well past quiet hour. This campground is not the quiet, pretty, undiscovered place it once was.

Loved this campground, the sites are so spacious for a family camping trip and having the lake to play in is so much fun. The toilets were not smelly but could have been cleaned a little more.

One of the very best campsites we have ever stayed at the sites are huge and you are well isolated from your neighbors.

Clean, easy to get to and on a beautiful lake. Decent sized campsites and secluded. Nice proximity to Tahquamenon Falls.

This was a Sept 14-21 camping trip with Soldier Lake as a destination not a base camp. We enjoyed the beginnings of fall color, hiking, bicycling and even a swim or two when the temperature went above 70° (water was 65°). Overall very peaceful. The only problem was a group of party-campers that acted up on Saturday evening with screaming and some VERY loud rap music. It didn't last long; we think the host campers put a damper on it.

The walk way across from site 28 and 27 is dangerously steep and needs to be fixed. It cuzed me to break my ankle. While my boyfriend fell going up it several times. It needs to be levelled out.

Campsites are well spaced around a pretty little lake. Nice hard service Road. The camp hosts were so friendly and helpful, TheybMade some recommendations about our upcoming day at Sault Ste. Marie that helped it be a great experience.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
