This was a fun rustic cabin to visit. About 10 miles of fair dirt road to it.Cabin needs a little work on it but was clean and decent beds.Needs some new fly strips and TP in the outhouse. Last group left a mess of debris from live trees they hacked up as well as wood from the shed scattered about. THERE IS NO WATER SOURCE except for a cow trough....bring plenty.Overall a cool place

Off the beaten path, quiet and a beautiful meadow out the back. Only 1 truck went by the whole time there!

We have been going to this cabin in the winter for more than 10 years. It is great to have a place to dry off and warm up after snowmobiling all day. We love going there and have had a lot of good adventures there.

I have stayed in numerous cabins over the years and one can expect bugs, mice, and critters to be in and around these cabins. This cabin was infested by mice like I have never seen, to the point we left a day a day early. The first night we stopped trying to catch them after 7 appeared out of the stove, in less than an hour. We tried to plug a hole to the outside where they were getting in and out but the oven was so infested we could hear them chewing through anything we put in the hole all night long. Every morning we woke up to mice droppings all over the counters,oven, and floor. We came to realize they were there and we couldn't do anything about it and ignored the mice the second day, but the next warmer temperatures created a bad mouse stench in the entire cabin. It was bad to the point we left a day early. I have never left a cabin for any of these reasons after staying in about 15 or more cabins. It is a shame because this was the nicest cabin I have ever stayed at and in such a beautiful setting. If mice don't bother you , then this cabin is for you, and keep everything off the ground in sealed Tupperwares. Even a pair of our muck boots got a hole chewed through them.

Stove works really well. Plan on bringing lots of water. Saw mule deer, elk, and pronghorn (oh and moo cows). Matrresses are getting old as with most these style cabins, but they take good care. Propane lights. Generator hook up if you are into that sort of thing. All around great, WARM cabin. Thanks for the stay!

I did have a good time. Great spot. However, no propane in the tank. Found the red lever outside was left on so I didn’t use the lanterns or anything like that. That’s all.

Always love this cabin. Hope that repairs on windows can be done and a back screen door replaced. Just needs some tender loving care from USFS.

It's a great cabin tucked away up in the hills north of White Sulphur Springs. We saw a moose on our way up, followed by herd of about 50 elk. When we woke up in the morning and looked out the meadow off the front porch, we saw a doe antelope and three fawns. The cabin itself is equipped with most things you could need, and is also supplied with propane for lighting and cooking. All the beds are twin bunks, 6 mattresses in total.

The cabin was awesome! Had a wonderful snowmobile trip and even got to see some wolves!! Learned the hard way that the wood stove is very efficient!! Careful not use too much wood! The heat will run you out! Lol

Love renting this cabin. Great place to base out of for fishing, hunting, ATV riding, etc. Saw a cow moose, whitetail and mule deer and a badger close by.

Take a detailed forest map so you can find the awesome trails and high-mountain meadows called "Parks." Additionally, thank you to the folks who stayed in the cabin before our visit. Not only was the cabin and outside area very clean, the people had firewood set up in the wood stove ready to light.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
