We stayed at this campground during the last weekend of September. The hiking trails around the park are beautiful and the staff is super friendly. The camping spots are just a little close to one another and there were a lot of larger families. If youre looking for peace and quiet this may not be the best spot. Nevertheless we had a great time here.

Weve stayed at this campground multiple times over the years. One of our favorite in the GSMNP.

A basic campground, restroom's are clean, but have no hot water or showers.Gravel pads are large and level, but need some weed killer on in places.Sites are not to close to one another..Great location for tubing and playing in the creek.

Bring a tube so you can hike past three beautiful waterfalls, then float down Deep Creek back to your campsite. Explore shopping, restaurants and breweries in Bryson City. Or, simply enjoy wildflowers, wildlife and the peaceful atmosphere at camp.

Brought hammocks and were able to fit three setups on site 77. I used a YOBO Hive stand on the pad. Nice campground.

We timed it just right by accident. Kids had gone back to school and Labor Day was the coming weekend. There was an amazing lull. One night we were the only two people in 80 spots I believe. We did see one or two other people come and go during the time we were there. The river was low, so the rafters were not many in number. Hiking was excellent. The weather was cool. It was the best way to enjoy a beautiful place. Our first trip. And the town of Bryson city couldnt be cooler. Very nice place. This is my favorite gateway to the Smokies.

The campground was quiet midweek in the summer, shady, and well maintained. The sites were spaced pretty well apart and the bathroom was clean. We borrowed an electrical outlet from a lovely camp host and enjoyed a great hike as well.

Clean bathrooms, a sink to wash your dishes, beautiful sites. It was my second time at Deep Creek and I can't wait to go back!

We love spending time at Deep Creek and have been there every summer for 44 years. In spite of the lack of hook-ups and services, we enjoy the National Park campground. The creek provides great entertainment for all ages. However, we have seen a steady decline in the campground's maintenance. They have fewer staff to maintain the grounds and facilities which leads to standing water, mud, dirty restrooms, and generally looking run down.

We had a great time at Deep Creek. It was 4th of July weekend so it was crowded but still a lot of fun.

Ive been camping at Deep Creek for 60 + years. My two favorite campgrounds are Deep Creek and Cades Cove. It is so nice and serene. I live in Maggie Valley about 45 minutes East of it and still go there at least a couple times a year. Whether youre young or old youll have the time of your life. Tubing is probably the best in the smokies. There are 3 water falls youll want to see. Bryson City is minutes away. Hope you have a wonderful timeRachal and Jim

This turned out to be a great trip for me and my grandkids. I have been to deep creek twice recently. The first trip was on my own to fish and hike. I camped in the tent only section which is wide open, near the creek. Its a big common area with little if any separation between tents, the RV+ Tent area is nicely shaded and more comfortable. The sites are more segregated from each other, making it a better family experience. My grandson and granddaughter really enjoyed the tubing. A great way to cool off during a hot summer day. We combined camping with white water rafting at the Nantahala Outdoor Center. It was a great 3 day trip.

Pictures of the campsites on the website would be helpful, that way you know exactly what you're getting. But it was a beautiful campground and we will definitely be back!

This campsite should be considered a double spot together with 57. The sites are way too close with nothing in between them. Close to the road and bathrooms so constantly noisy. Campground is also a huge tubing destination in the summer, if you want to fish the creek be prepared to hike 1+ miles past all the tubers
@LeahG40301844A · Camped on Jun 7, 2024 at Campsite #32
The park and the hiking were very nice. The campgrounds were really close together, right on top of each other. Also the bathrooms did not have soap so make sure you bring your own! There was a spot for washing dishes, which was nice (again, if you bring your own soap). We were right on the river, which was beautiful but also a very popular tubing spot so there were people floating by all day until dark.

My family has been coming to Deep Creek Campground every year since the campground opened 60+ years ago. Weve seen countless changes throughout the years, in both the campground and nearby Bryson City. But the one thing that has remained constant is our love for the campground and the surrounding Great Smoky Mountains. If you enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, tubing, fellowship, or leisurely walks to beautiful waterfalls then this is the place for you!

This is literally my favorite place on the planet! It's beautiful, well kept, and so much fun! I've been going at least once a year for the last 30ish years I love it so much. It started off as a spot for family vacations and over the years I've started inviting friends to join us and this year we had about 20 folks with us on our adventure. It was absolutely, perfectly splendid!

There is NO other campgrounds better. Only place I will camp. Never crowded. I love how convenient this site is to everything. Easy to get to All Hikes in the smokies. The trails at deep creek are beautiful and I go 3 times a year Well kept property. Bathrooms are spick and span. So clean. Nice quiet campsite.

My two days there were very enjoyable. Camping there gave me access to beautiful place for fly fishing and good hiking. It makes it easy to get an early start. I was able to complete 18 miles comfortably and make it back to camp mid afternoon. I was there at a not busy time , but I fear that a busy holiday might make the tent only sites less than ideal. Many sites packed into a relatively small area. It amounts to a big group site with no privacy if full, since the tent pads are so close together. The RV / tent sites are up the hill nicely shaded providing perhaps better separation between the sites. The creek itself is very pretty, many enjoy tubing. A mile to two above the camp provides good trout fishing.

Hidden gem of a campground in the GSMNP. Small, not crowded ( we were there Mothers Day weekend) and quiet. Very nice camp host. Bathrooms were sparkling clean. Site 89 was perfect size and level for our 25 ft RV & Jeep Wrangler. Can walk from campground to trailhead of a loop to see 3 waterfalls. Definitely recommend

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
