Because of road closures due to area forest fires that made for a 9 hour drive, we arrived at 10:00 only to find that the site we had reserved was not long enough for our 24 trailer. Although it was late our camp host Ira directed us to the perfect site (#10). I cant say enough about Ira. Hes relaxed, helpful, and interesting to talk to. Hes full of info and kept the camp clean. Thank you Ira!

We have been going camping up at the North Fork for 75 years. It is still our families "go to" for rest and rejuvenation. We have seen many changes over the years and not all of them good but we still benefit from our visits. This year we were extremely disappointed. Many if not all of the trees between the first two spaces on the river had been cut down. On inspection a couple of them seemed to be rotten and needed to come down but not all of them. Then, instead of doing a proper clean up, the trees were just felled over the river and left. Not only did that obstruct our view but it was being climbed on by kids. That is a very unsafe situation. The camp host is a very necessary position. We have, over the years, enjoyed many of them. This year however, not only did we never see the host, they started their personal generator very early every morning with no regard to who might still be sleeping. That is VERY poor camping etiquette and the host should know better.Over all, this was our worst visit in 75 years.

great location, well maintained. Horrible gunshots from hunters? traumatized from urban gunshots, no escape?

Great hikes right from the campground. Just down the road are some ancient Caves. Just down the road is camp creek falls which is a good hike and the falls are amazing! Great ride-abouts - especially if you have a motorcycle.

Well we did never get there. So it is nit about the campground itself, rather information on the road condition. We came from the South from Hood River and the road to Randle is 17 miles gravel. I would never have booked if I had known that; we travel we a rental motorhome and a gravelroad is not insured. So we had to go back to Hood River and travel around that part of the mountains. Please make a note of the gravelroad on the website of the campground. It would help

Very quiet beautiful place. We were in a pull thru site by the water. Would definitely go back if ever in that area

This is a small campground along the North Fork of the Cispus. Some sites are adjacent to the tumbling river. All are well forested. Campground is well maintained. Small loop trail goes to a bluff over the campground, and lots of other trails nearby. Did catch small trout in the river--bring a Tenkara if you have one!

Beautiful forested campsite. Friendly camp host. Clean bathrooms. Site 8 was a bit tricky to get backed into, the site sits on the corner and the road is not wide. It took a few tries, but we were able to get backed in and set up. The Chevy 2500 short bed plus 30 foot trailer fit without issue. Pad was just wide enough for the trailer with the slide out to still have a paved area to step off onto, but the step from the paved pad to the surrounding area was a bit tricky. The site itself was clean and beautiful and had plenty of room between us and any of the neighbors.

Large private sites in a small campground. Our spot was on the river. Campground close to hiking at Blue lake

Sites on the river are the best. We had site 0 and totally loved it.

Camp hosts were amazing! Barb and Cory, I believe their names were, were very helpful and caring when we had an issue with our trailer when we first got there. And...the bathrooms were kept very clean!

It was beautiful and serene. I had an amazing time watching the river flow right off the Campground. Waking up to the silence of nature with the light noise of the water and rustle of the leaves was life changing. I had the overwhelming pleasure of watching some snails much on leaves off the trail while hanging around the campsite!

Nice, generally quiet campground with lots of families located right along the river. There are plenty of campspots away from the river so no need to worry about young kids. Make sure to check out the natural "refrigerator" behind the old guard house.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
