Our favorite park east of the Mississippi! We love the beaches.

Nice, flat site for our popup. Bathrooms were clean and there's a dish washing station available right outside them. Relatively short walk to the beach on either side of the campground. We are a family of 5 and had an absolute blast. Spent the days at the beach, one at Fort Pickens, and the nights were quiet to sit by the fire and make s'mores. We will definitely be coming back.

We love this camp ground so much and have been going once a year for over 10 years. It is wonderful that they have the tent camping with nice shade. I would highly recommend it.

This was our 4th time here. We absolutely love it! You can't beat the beauty and peacefulness!! Yes the showers are a little run down but they are completely serviceable, but for $40 dollars a night, what do you expect?!. The camp host were fantastic and the weather was perfect! We are already planning to go back next year!

Nice campground. Laundry facilities were very helpful. Showers and restrooms were fairly clean (the shower walls could use a scrubbing). Sites are a bit close, but there is a lot of vegetation in loop A, which helps. No mosquitoes or ants in March. The nature trail access was right there in the CG, and the birds were active. Saw a formation of 8 Pelicans.

Camp sites are comfortably spaced. Facilities clean. Beach on both bay and ocean side beautiful. Plenty of hiking and biking trails. Fort Pickens nice historical site. Just what we wanted for a quiet getaway.

Thanks to the dedicated team of rangers, hosts and staff for sustaining such a wonderful facility and experience for us all.
@RickeyR60120A0 · Camped on Mar 16, 2025 at Campsite #A19
Thoroughly enjoyed the hosts. The bathrooms were clean. There is a trail between loops A and B. Delightful. We were in loop A and friend in loop B. So fun going back and forth. Beach lovely. Thankful for our trip. The fort, the museum, the town. Wonderful.

This was a great location, and our campsite was very adequate. The bathrooms could use some maintenance/care, especially the showers, but they were sufficient. The camp hosts were friendly and reminded us of the rules when necessary. As a reminder, camp fees don't cover park costs, which were an extra $25 for the week-long pass
@PavloP73710F50 · Camped on Mar 16, 2025 at Campsite #B3
Half a mile way to ocean. Parking spot for 1 car, but there is overflow parking. No text pad and no food box, sites are close to each other. I enjoyed this camp. There isn't any wood to be gathered.Entrace might have a line best to not show up at peak time on weekend and better to stop by at walmart before getting to site, instead of after.

We were evacuated due to weather (which we understood ) . The remainder of our reservation ( 12 days ) was completely out inadvertently ( along with everyone else's) .We didn't receive much help or sympathy. We were more fortunate than most. We were able to the book sites but had to move twice . It's disappointing that the park is not managed more professionally, particularly considering that evacuations occur at this park frequently.
@JulieK5031509 · Camped on Mar 15, 2025 at Campsite #B6
The campsites are great, with plenty of space. The access to the beach is close by & the fort itself is great to explore.
@MichelleM70561 · Camped on Mar 14, 2025 at Campsite #D13
The campground was very loud over spring break. A Boy Scout troop spoke at loud volumes often arguing loudly and tooting on recorders night and day. I saw an adult with them their last day when they packed up to load into a van. I believe the adults were staying at another site. It was a miserable experience being in the campground this visit. I could hear the troop over my headphones at a maximal volume while I was at my site.

did not see email closing campground til I got there after driving 700 miles. My fault. Email said refund would be automatic. Had three night reservation and it opened on the third day. I did not cancel that day and because it was open I was charged.

Fort Pickens is an exceptional site: close to beautiful beaches, spacious lots, wooded environment for privacy. The only problem: difficult to reserve only weeks before!
@JanetV98CF67E1 · Camped on Mar 12, 2025 at Campsite #E61
We camp here a few times a year. We like that it is so close to the beach. We enjoy seeing the Blue Angel practice sessions. We also enjoy bands on the beach. I recommend getting a National Park pass to save on the $25 entrance fee to the National Park.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
