Excellent spot. Hiked and explored the trail right out from the camp spot all the way to the gate of another dirt road. You can see into this spot when you drive around the road loop, but many spots in this group camping area offer complete privacy. Camp host wanted to see my reservation, and I was able to barely bring it up online, as AT&T provided a bar of service. Verizon users complained of no service. You may want to take a screenshot or print out your reservation before arriving.

The camp hosts were not doing their job. I have stayed at Tally many times and the previous hosts were very detailed, assuring the bathrooms were clean, the grounds maintained , the bees managed (traps hung ), the dock was out and would have been thoughtful enough to let campers know when they arrived if there was an issue with any core services. (the website mentioned construction, so I expected to hear heavy equipment off and on as they worked on the roads, but there was no warning about there being NO POTABLE WATER)The current hosts:1. Failed to refill the sanitizer in the bathroom at all during our 2 night stay which was empty on arrival, though they dropped off one toilet paper roll at a time a few times a day, I saw campers carrying their own TP into the bathroom closest to our campsite #4 several times.2. Failed to let us know on arrival (when it would have been easy to leave and obtain water) that none of the water spigots throughout the camp were functioning resulting in NO POTABLE WATER our entire stay.3. Failed to do any bee/yellow jacket maintenance, no traps were hung and the bees were so bad we could not stay on the beach and only had relief when out on the lake.4. Failed to put out the dock and when asked about it seemed put out So if we were camping without any services, what was the $24/night getting us? NOTHING.I did contact recreation.gov re above and they submitted a request for a refund which has to be reviewed by the Facilities manager. I will be calling the Facilities manager re above. My husband and I were very disappointed in the camp hosts/issues above.

Great campground. The guy running it was awesome too.

We were in the Pavilion group camp and after only 2 days into our 10 day reservation we were disrupted by construction. They were behind on construction and the guy from the construction came into our site and started swearing and verbally abusing our group that we needed to move trailers. We moved the trailer he needed and for the next 3 days it was big machinery digging trenches literally feet from our trailer. The trenches were left open at night which was a huge safety hazard especially with our children. Before the construction guy came into our site and started hollaring and swearing we were given no communication that there would be the construction right beside our trailers. This carried on for 3 days in our site. Ruined our holiday. Side note: we have photo/video of the whole ordeal including the verbal abuse by the construction guy.

Great place to camp with plenty of room between sights butConstruction / improvements was occurring during our stay which was disclosed at booking. However, there was no dust control for the high volume of equipment traffic and was definitely needed.Once the improvements are completed, it appears that sites will be very tight.

We have been trying to get this spot for years and finally lucked out. Loved that it was right on the water and secluded from other camp spots. Nice and spacious too

We were not told about the construction. So our camping experience was really terrible and not peaceful at all.

Campground was clean and well maintained. The host was dealing with construction and did everything they could to accommodate everyone. Bathrooms were cleaned daily and the garbage bins were cleaned daily as well. Plenty of space between sites to enjoy your stay without feeling on top of your neighbors. Really enjoyed the two mile hiking loop at the north end of the lake. Offers a great view of the lake and the trail is well maintained.

Wonderful campground Beware that they have deer mice. I got two in my trailer the day I arrived. Great spots and access to a lot of outdoor stuff

Smaller campground, very close to the lake. Bathrooms were pretty gross and filled with flies

Normally if I could give it a 10 I would but this time we had a very unpleasant visit from a stranger. Otherwise its a beautiful place with always pleasant and helpful hosts.

Great access for ADA folks! Too many trees for starlink, but that's not what we go to the woods for, right? Clean bathrooms and friendly hosts.

Dust from road is severe! Had to move from site. Beach is great access but having a site close to beach is essential for us wheelchair users. We are unable to tow extra vehicle, so we are on foot, with wheelchair. Appreciated the large sites and level ground to accommodate our medically equipped RV with LIFT and slides. People set up shade-houses overnight or all week on the beach that blocked wheelchair access (with the crowds on the beach on the weekend) and there where days that no one was even there... Seems inconsiderate considering how many people are on the beach and access issues. Thank you for prioritizing for wheelchair access and understanding that it is a big deal and so vital and important for people in wheelchairs to also go swimming and have access. More parking spots for people with lifts will be helpful. We need space out the side of our vehicles to safely drop the lift and let the person roll forward. No one seems to get this until they are in the situation where you cannot get out of your vehicle. Noise is an issue when people run multiple generators in their sites all day long, even when they are not there. Very inconsiderate of others and the camping experience for those of us who do not get to leave camp. Many of us have migraine/seizure triggers from NOISE. The people across from us ran two generators all day (even when gone), parked way too many vehicles in their site, and were not that concerned about any of it. It seems odd to do in a quiet campground. So yes, let's consider NOISE an issue also, along with the dust and the wheelchair and other access. Locals often act like they own the place ... but most are super nice! If we can accommodate people with disabilities, we are accommodating all of us. Let's think about this and DO IT: people who are blind, deaf, have seizure disorders, mental health issues, physical disabilities, chronic migraines, auto-immune, cancers, etc. Let's take care of each other. THANKS SO MUCH!

The campground is very well maintained by friendly hosts. Hiking, biking, and paddling opportunities are all right there. The route in includes about 10 miles of dirt road and there is no cell service, so you really feel like you are getting away from it all.

Nice campground! Good spacing between sites, and short understory vegetation. Clean restrooms and campsites. Good dump station.

I’ve always liked Tally Lake campground. The hosts were nice enough, the weather was decent enough and the campground is laid out well - there is enough distance between sites. The kids can run around and there isn’t much noise. It’s one of my favorite campgrounds.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
