Campground hosts were helpful in moving us to a more quiet location away from the highway. The campground was clean and the camp spots were positioned with lots of space between campers. No WiFi!

We only stopped for the night, and wished we had more time to stay. Everything was great!

there are no pull though sites - website says there are several. We had to switch our site to a walk-in because of this. My RV would NOT fit in the original site.

The campground is well maintained and each spot has lots of room. The camp hosts are wonderful and super friendly. There is no cell service at camp which is nice if you are trying to get away from it all.

We love it at Swan Lake Campground. Big Shady sites. Friendly hosts. Water to fill your R.V. is available at the entrance. There is no dump station however. The beach is right across the street, which is awesome. If you are relying on Starlink, obstructions can be challenging. There is zero cell service.

Terrific campground directly across the highway from Swan Lake and the day use area there. Only thing better would be if the campground were lakeside. Great fine dining at Laughing Horse Lodge (less than a mile away) in the beautiful courtyard filled with flowers if you want a break from cooking camp food. Bring bug repellant! No cell service at campground but there is a pull-out along the lake about 3/4 mile north where you can get cell.

Swan Lake Campground was a Jewel, off the beaten path. Our only regret is that we didnt get to stay another night. If like beauty Peace & serenity , this is a place youll really love! Happy Trails!

Location is very nice but found by using recreation.com my senior pass of 50% discount is charged a reservation fee thereby almost negating the discount. Not right!!!

We have camped here previously and had a blast. We still had a very good time this trip. Just one downside.I booked online for 1 site, 2 vehicles, 4 people, one tent and one trailer. The day after we arrived we had a note from the camp host stating we owed for the tent. Unsure if this is new as we've camped here previously at 1 site with multiple tents and never been charged $20 per tent per night. Just a heads up that not everything you put in your reservation online is paid for apparently.

The campground was very clean.

Site is better suited for a trailer or RV, not tenting. The grassy area where the picnic table and fire pit are is small but not a problem for trailer/RV. The "driveway" is fully paved, wide and long. A trailer with a porch could be set up and there would still be room to park a vehicle either next to or in front of the trailer.

My only objection to my stay was; one of the camp host had dogs locked in a car all day. They appeared to be aggressive breeds and put up quite a commotion when we passed with our dog. Its not right to have two large dogs penned in a car all day. Should not be allowed and borders on animal cruelty.

Love the fact that this campground is "off grid" with zero cell service. Sites are lovely and well spaced. Appreciate the work and effort of the campground hosts.

We paid over $1000 to rent the Group campground at Swan Lake for a week. We have done this in past years. Even though we posted a sign stating the area was for a private group, and the camp host put signage up, we consistently had random people riding through on bikes, walking their dogs, using the toilets, and even attempting to put up a tent. There needs to be both more explicit signeage, more control and explanation when people check in, and maybe a closed gate. Really didnt get the experience we expected, and had to police our area. Not happy.

Stayed here for one night. The pit toilet was very clean. Very private sites. There is an area across the highway where you can swim. No cell service at our site though, but that's ok!

Sensational! Campground was spotless. The RV sites were large and level. The roads and campsites were blacktopped which cut out the dust factor. The Campground Hosts were friendly and had the campground in superior condition. The lawns were well manicured. The restrooms were cleaned daily and were well stocked. The campground was quiet and peaceful. Was surprised the quiet time ended at 6am instead of 8am. I cant say enough about this campground as it was the the finest I've seen in my 50+ years camping. Hats off and take a bow!

Rating: 2.75 Here’s everything: A group of friends and I stayed at Swan Lake Campground for 4 nights/5 days. Before booking this campsite, I wish I would have known these pros and cons. Pros: ✅ Clean campsite ✅ Firewood available on site ($6 per bundle) ✅ Approx. 1 hour from Glacier NP ✅ Beautiful lake nearby ✅ Phone service available 1 mile up the road Cons: ❌ No showers on site. I knew this from the camp information, BUT I figured there would be options in a nearby town. There is not. Showers are available at the Swan lake Resort but for $10 per person. I wish there was a more economical option. ❌ No sinks to wash hands or dishes. Not ideal for tent camping. When asked where we should wash dishes, camp host said to throw the water out in the woods. ❌ The vault toilets STINK. I know this isn’t something that can be helped at a campground like this, but it needed to be mentioned haha. ❌ The sites are not on the water, but rather across the highway. It is advertised as having kayak/canoe rentals available but the kiosk was not staffed and there was hardly anybody on the lake. Some people who towed boats their own in were there. Overall: while we did have a fun time camping, this is not a campground I would recommend for tents. This is much more set up for RV or trailers. There were no other tents in the area aside from ours while we were there. There were, however, plenty of RVs. I do not think this should be advertised for tent camping as there are little to no amenities. This is not a campground for people who like a laid back camping trip.

The camp hosts were absolutely lovely and made sure we settled in okay! We booked site 24 and sleeping to the sounds of the rushing river was so wonderful. The site is large and deep, the second camp host has firewood for sale (odd price of $6 since I didn’t have any single bills) but the fire ring did its job keeping the biting bugs away and the picnic table was huge! We will definitely be back after the summer heat and maybe bring our RV next time. Day use across the street was also wonderful and included for staying at the park.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
