Easy access, quiet, close to hiking trails, well-equipped site with metal picnic table grill on fire pit and platform for stove, clean restrooms.

Great weekend getaway. And you WILL unplug...no internet, TV, and barely any cell service.

Our visit to Pine Valley was very favorable...we had assistance by Brooke, a standout employee who went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. And, we will look forward to a future visit because we had a good time, facilities were very clean, and the scenery is excellent!

Pine valley is such a beautiful getaway location but I think what always makes our experience a 5 star rating is the amazing camp hosts there. The Dean Gardner loop hosts are amazing. They are super friendly, on top of things, upkeep their sites impeccably and we just love seeing them. Thank you Pine Valley for having the best hosts there as well as other friendly staff. It really makes a big difference! We will be back for more of the beautiful and peaceful adventures we so enjoy there!

We camped at Dean Gardner campground several times this summer. The campground host was wonderful. Answered our questions, was kind, courteous, and helpful. They also keep the public restrooms very clean. Campsite was clean as well.

Such a great setup for Equestrian campers! The trails we rode were in great shape and the scenery was breathtaking. The campsite had ample room, tables, and fire pits. Will definitely camp here again!

Our family has been visiting Pine Valley for several years. The campground was clean and the restrooms were maintained throughout our stay. The grandkids enjoyed fishing, hiking, and enjoying the wildlife in the area.

Pine Valley Recreation was a beautiful place to camp and visit. Highly recommend camping and the fishing at the reservoir. One of the most beautiful lakes we have been to.

Camped out for 4 days. Great area for families and to relax. Spent the time shore fishing, chatting with the park rangers, and exploring on our scooters. Very clean, laid back and family friendly.

Pine Valley Recreation Area is a hidden gem with multiple campgrounds located in Southern Utah. We made a reservation and camped at the Yellow Pine Campground at the beginning of July. Despite the high temp reaching 90 degrees F, the overall weather was nice! Night time temps dipped a little bit lower than the weather forecast, so it's good to be prepared for a 10-degree difference. This campground has a restroom and running water. Additionally, the wonderful campground hosts who work in this area keep the campgrounds very clean and well-kept. I would recommend this area for outdoor enthusiasts!

We were tent camping. Best kept campsites Ive been too! I loved the designated tent area four our family but would be hard if I had more than one tent to set up. The river was beautiful and perfect for kids to play in and hop on rocks. I would take my family here again.

Nice trails, clean vault toilets. Staff was friendly. Campsite was clean upon arrival. Just wish there were more water locations.

When we arrived at the entrance of the park the staff would not let us in the park until 2:00 pm for the camp site. So, we had to wait 2 hours outside the park until 2:00. We were very disappointed that we could not enter and just walk around before 2:00. Once we got in and went to the campsite all was good. The camp host was very helpful, and the area is beautiful.

This is a popular place but we were able to find some places away from everyone. We loved our campsite although the upper ones are not labeled correctly on the map. 19 & 20 should be switched. It said they are handicapped accessible but not by much. In the evening there was a camper running its gas generator and smelling up the whole place. Other than that things were good. We will definitely return. It is much cooler than in St George so you should be prepared with a jacket. Depending on your location you might want to have extra shade handy.

All the loops in Pine Valley are great but Dean Gardener is the best cos of its proximity to the Reservoir. Hosts are great all around. Anyone having inhibitions with vault toilets should be assured these are cleaned round the clock think once every 2-3 hrs and its actually a non-issue. Have had more deer visits in the Crackfoot and Equestarian loops, where they will be around you during dawn. Many peope have these kind of views in their backyard but for those who are far away from any wildlife this is quite a spectacle. Our kids (and us) love it here, just because this was our first camping experience some years back we have our inhibitions to try something new location. Blessing in disguise is there is no cell phone coverage so adults and kids are spending time with pristine nature.The reservations are done way in advance by folks who plan well, for others like me :) keep checking closer to your weekend and some cancellations will bring you luck.

Since when do they start holding people at the "guard station" upon arrival?!! I have been camping in Pine Valley for over 30 years and this has never happened. Keith, at the guard station was a total jerk, said I needed to wait because Lawerence that camp host was not available, he was at another location. Why does the camp host need to be at my camp spot the "greet" me!! Totally uncalled for! I was help for 20 minutes!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
