Our stay was 5 days. We saw the campground host 1 time. We had to ask him to put toilet paper in the bathroom. He was totally not engaged. He was not keeping toilet paper in the bathroom. His boss came through at one point and left toilet paper with another camper to put in the bathroom. He NEVER cleaned the bathroom. Definitely at the bottom of the pack for hosts.

Just very glad to be able to extinguish a very scary fire and not have to evacuate the campground. You are welcome

Beautiful area. Great camp host. Nice large campsites. Walkable areas, and water access.

The lake is lovely.The night we were there it was VERY loud with no repercussions for the loud parties. Quiet hours exist for a reason, because tents aren't soundproof and sleep is nice. We were very disappointed.

Cultus Lake is one of our favorite places to camp. Pros: The campsites are nicely spaced apart, offering plenty of both shade and sunshine; the lake offers great swimming, boating and lounging activities; The Cultus Lake Lodge is a short hike away, offering a cute little restaurant, boating vessels and a selection of provisions you might have forgotten to pack. Cons: Because Cultus Lake is a popular destination, reservations are difficult to get. Walking through the campground, you will find many sites reserved (there are 50 sites), yet unoccupied. This is a shame as there are many folks who would have loved a site. Perhaps there is a way the folks that operate the campground can penalize no-shows and open the sites for other happy campers.

Site was extremely unlevel, but nice spot down a bit to pitch a tent. Walk path down to lake was mostly private. My reservation wasnt updated on the post, but the host never stopped and I always missed them to ask.

My family and I have been coming here for the past 15 years. My husband grew up coming here. Don and Brenda, by far, have been the BEST camp hosts weve had. Campsites are immaculate when you arrive. Trash picked up. Sites raked. Personable when you connect with them. I hope they return every summer. Thank you!!

Such a beautiful place to camp. Steps from the Lake! Super quiet, and clean. The campground hosts were amazing too!

We really enjoyed our time at Cultus Lake Campground. The camp host was attentive and is a stickler for the rules ( extra vehicle must have a paid tag, even if there for only a short time), but that is a stated rule so Kim problem there. The lots are nicely spaced and clean vault toilets are close by to all sites. There is little to no cell service and there is none at the little marina, either. The store at the marina has most things one might need while camping and everyone was friendly. The beach around the lake is clean and one may wade in on a gravel beach. Kid friendly beach. Mosquitos were quite feisty during our stay at the end of June. Bring spray and long clothing. They weren’t unbearable but they were definitely there.

Clean bathrooms and the host was helpful and kind

We really loved the spacious sites, views, and cleanliness of grounds and latrines. The camp host was friendly and welcoming! However, being tent campers, we would look for campgrounds with a tent only section in the future. RV's with loud generators going all day from sunrise to sundown and with porch lights on all night took away the tranquility and beauty of the site.

Great 3 day camping trip. Was a great get away and less than an hour from home in Bend. Mosquitos were out in force however so bring your bug spray. The camp hosts were amazing and so very helpful!

We enjoyed our stay at Cultus as usual. The camp hosts were really nice and conscientious. The concern we have is there are only 3 or 4 sites that are first come first serve. I was told that only 60% of the sites were to be reservation sites and 40% would be kept as first come first served. I could understand during Covid that it was made 100% reservatioin, but its not that anymore. So why is it all reservation still? Is it always going to be that way from now on? We've been camping here for over 40 yrs and now it so hard to get a spot!

What a hidden gem! The vault toilets were well kept, the campsites were shaded and spaced apart. Will definitely be returning. The water was very clear and an amazing shade of blue and had lots of room for paddle boarding, boating and tubing.

Beautiful place. Very clean bathrooms. Roomy campgrounds.

Nice campground. The sites are well space, you’re not right next to your neighbor. The lake is clear and has a large area to swim, kayak, and paddle board before it deepens for motor boats.

Cultus Lake is the busiest lake I have been to in Central Oregon. I left earlier than intended. I camp a ton. This is my least favorite camping destination. The campground has an odd layout, tiny spaces, no privacy and facilities that are strangely located.
@LindseyW321035 · Camped on Jul 24, 2022 at Campsite #15
This place is packed and not well maintained. The bathrooms were disgusting.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
