One of the most beautiful places I have been.Campground manager was kind and understanding when we came in a day late.Firewood is cash only but we were allowed to forage our own so it was great.Restrooms are pretty tidy and the campsite was perfectly clean as well :)

It was the end of the camping season with kids going back to school and school activities happening so the campground was very quiet. I love Woodbine Campground! It's pretty, the sites are all very nice with decent space in between. The surroundings are beautiful.

After all the years of staying at Woodbine, we finally saw the sleeping giant, and also did some star gazing. Seen a lot of satellites. Was an awesome trip.

Overall, a very beautiful campground. The sites are at an respectable distance from each other and offer a decent degree of privacy. The bear box, the table and overall everything is well maintained. However, there is virtually no cell coverage for miles. Definitely one of the best campgrounds overall.

Nice campground with a good variety of sites. Older toilets but they were clean and plentiful. Never say the hosts but they must have been doing their job because the sites were clean as were the toilets.

I miss the bridge over woodbine creek and the access to the beautiful falls. I also miss the gorge trail as the horse trail isnt as scenic or easy. I understand that the flood from 2years ago was devastating but I miss the old activities. The campground is well maintained and kept clean. Kudos to the camp host.

We camped two nights at Woodbine in order to be able to visit Tippet Rise Art Center, which was about 45 minutes away. This is as close as I could get us. Woodbine was beautiful- our site was the last available one, and my kids thought it was the best one for sure. Nice forested area, clean pit toilets, quiet day and night. The other campers were pretty chill- not big partiers. I think we were just as excited about our campsite as we were about the world-famous sculptures at Tippet Rise- though I am so glad we finally made it there. Campground host was incredibly sweet, and she reminded us to look for the Perseid meteor shower at night. The popular Woodbine Falls trailhead was under construction- it should be amazing pretty soon. It was great to explore this part of Montana.

Clean, quite and relaxed. The campground host was amazing.

Woodbine is an awesome campground to stay at. Like the fact there are first come first serve spots. Many of the spots for an rv or trailer have the table and fire pit behind the trailer instead of out the direction of door. Will be nice when the walking bridge is rebuilt.

Would have been nice if trails were open to be able to explore more. It was very hot, so bring plenty of water. Stars were fantastic.

Beautiful place to camp, but pick your time of year/weather carefully. This area does not cool down and is as hot as the city of Billings. Horse flies and mosquitoes can be abundant and the horse flies bite the hardest. Suggest early spring and late fall visits when the weather is cooler. At the least pick a spot with shade. Very nice that water hose to fill campers is available, wish all Forest Service camping areas had this available.

#33 is a great site! Lots of privacy with trees around. Level, big spot for a tent, was clean, and can spot some on the mountains in between the trees! We looked at the sites directly around us and those appeared great as well!

The bathrooms needed a lot of assistance! Very dirty Rather use mother nature than the bathrooms on site.

We love Woodbine & as usual we had a great weekend. Camp host was very accommodating to give us ideas of what to do & what was still not useable from the flood.

Absolutely love it at Woodbine. Always clean and friendly host, has fresh water hose to fill on your way in, instead of hauling all that water. Great place to hike, bike, use ATVs nearby and just relax. Look forward to staying there again soon.

Gorgeous setting! Spacious camp sites, with tables, fire pits and bear food storage. Hiking, dogs on leashes, fire wood, helpful and friendly camp host. No electricity or hot showers but one if our favorite places to camp. The only con to Woodbine is the huge potholes in the road the last mile.
@KateMAABB27DBE · Camped on May 25, 2024 at Campsite #4
This campground was absolutely beautiful. Panoramic views. Our sit was nestled in the trees so it felt very private. Even on memorial weekend it was very peaceful. Short walk to the woodbine falls trail head, however the trail bridge is washed out so be prepared to walk across a fallen tree if the water is high like it was when we went. Clean pit toilets, water spouts, nice grate on fire for cooking. Site 4 was a little small for a camper.. we only had our truck and a tent to set up so worked perfectly for our needs but if you have a camper maybe choose a different site. Lots of families with kids riding their bikes around the campground - very family friendly.

Camp host, John, is very thorough and keeps the camp area very clean. Hiking was okay, but Woodbine Falls to rebuild bridge to trail, crossing is not safe for little kids and elderly.

Camp site #18 tucked away above most other sites. Mostly rv campers. Water & bathrooms in great shape. Camp host John was very friendly and accommodating to questions and how to get around.

facilities were great, host was excellent. Only question is, since I am 67, why did I not get the senior rate?

It was so great to be back at Woodbine since flooding closed it. We were surprised to actually get limited cell service! Lots of dogs off leashes, and sad to see the devastation around the rivers, but otherwise it was a beautiful, peaceful stay. It's our favorite campground!
@RonZ9447433 · Camped on Aug 28, 2023 at Campsite #31
The campsite, as usual, was wonderful. We were very disappointed that the "falls" trail was not accessible unless you were willing to wade Woodbine Creek. The bridge was washed out in the 2022 flood but it appears no attempt has been made to replace the bridge. The trail to Souix Charlie may be open however the road to the trail head is not. We are in our 70's and the extra half hike mile to get to the trail head was not worth the effort since we couldn't determine if the trail was fully open or not.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
