North Shore Campground, Eleven Mile State Park, Lake George, CO

North Shore Campground is part of Eleven Mile State Park in Colorado (1 hr 20 min west of Colorado Springs, CO) with an elevation of 8,632 feet. There are a total of 79 campsites. The campground is open all year. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 25 and 110 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. There is a fee of $28.00 per night. Some amenities include drinking water, dump station, playground, boat ramp, restroom, amphitheater. Activities include boating, fishing, water skiing.

Eleven Mile State Park is one of the easier parks to reserve in Colorado. You can often book sites a week or so out as opposed to months at the time. Site 268 is a back-in site at least 75 feet long towards the end of the North Shore loop. No shade and it can get windy here but GREAT fishing just steps from the campsite. Advantage of no shade is great exposure for my solar panels. No hookups at this loop but Rocky Ridge loop does off some electric. Sites are far enough apart to offer some privacy despite no trees. Pit toilets are fairly clean but near the entrance to Rocky Ridge is a very clean shower facility with flush toilets and laundry available. Lots of opportunities to fish here - from shore or boats. Rental boats are available at the marina as well as fishing licenses and bait/tackle.
