Most spaces were impossible to get into, including the one we reserved. When we arrived there were zero other campers, so I assume others had the same problem. Unfortunately, we didnt end up staying because of this.

Flat tent area, close to water and very roomy. The staff isnt so friendly and unfortunately our site had a ton of cigarette buds.

We booked our campsite a month in advance, I was wondering why it was so cheap. We shortly found out why when we got there. Site 14 is on an incline with no flat ground, and no shade. The entire night we were sliding down hill and we got no sleep that night. To make things worse its campsite was infested with wasps. There were so many we had to leave our campsite early. The camp host was not available nor warned us about said wasps

There is a nice hiking trail looks like water could run through it.

I could see how other reviewers could have taken the camp host as a little rude but I didnt think so if anything it couldve just been his tone and/or hard of hearing. Site 28 is located in the Equestrian Camp to the left of the trail access. The view at campsite is nice all around. This specific site had an equestrian stable (no evidence of horse feces) where I was able to hang my hammock. It was really nice at night! The site is located right next to the restrooms and water faucet BUT the restroom entrances were facing DIRECTLY towards your campsite (no trees or bushes were blocking others from looking in and seeing every aspect of you and your campsite)! There were LOTS of fire ants (Labor Day weekend).I would come again but not at a site where the restrooms are facing my campsite and not covered by any trees. This was a poor layout when the other side of the restroom is completely open and not facing any campsites..

We arrived around past 4pm and seen several campsites with "Reserved" status but no one is still occupying. We decided to drive all throughout and haven't seen any one camped yet. Our instinct says it's kinda creepy with our presumption maybe other campers opted out after finding out the condition of the campground being unkept, bucket full of algae and insect seems the water being stagnated for a long time. We did'nt see the camphost as well. Campsite full of leaves, seems like no one camped for a long while. Vault toilets are so smelly and haven't cleaned up. We ended up finding another campsite in Mount Laguna which has more safety vibe and camp host are consistently roving around and cleaning amenities. Waste of money and time..just a lesson learned to be more careful in choosing your campground. Trust your instinct as well if you feel safe or not once you set foot to any campground you planned to stay.

My family and I really enjoyed the time we spent at dripping springs camp ground. The camp host was very accommodating and friendly. We explored one of the hiking trails. The only suggestions I would recommend to anyone going, bring a easy up there was hardly any shade. I would book Dripping Spings again.

We camped at site #20. It was off the road which was great as cars come and go (many going way too fast). The tent site & picnic table have no shade for most of the day. There is a large tree that you can put your chairs under for shade. There is a slightly steep dip you must cross to get to the tent area. No grill on the fire ring. Other campers were blasting music super loud and way passed 10:00 pm which was horrible. Another camper was projecting a video on a screen at high volume. Other parks have a person come around to check on thin at night. This park is very hands off with that. For $15 a night you definitely get what you pay for! PS #14 is the worst one there, zero shade.

Reserved the site #7 (double fee site, for 15 people) about a month ago,Arrived at the site (~1.5 hr drive to get here) on the reserved date, site was Closed, and couldn't be used.Talked to the camp host, he said he notified Recreation.gov long ago for site being closed.Called Recreation.gov, they said they were not notified of any closure of this site.Was offered to stay at an empty (only available) site which was slopy and small for my group, so had to turn half of my group away back homeVery disappointed how the system worked, and how they pingponged their fault and the lack of responsibility of either ends.

Sites full of downed tree limbs, tree branches everywhere, site was pretty small because of all the tree limbs everywhere. Bathrooms looked okay.

Camp host was helpful with trying his best to relocate us to usable spots and did come to check on us when we were relocated. We had a very large group. The sites 16, 17, 18 were not usable though. Pick another spot! These sites are filled with dead chopped down trees. The rest of the campsites seems okay, some are really nice and some are just okay but the rest seemed usable, just pick ones other than 16,17,18
@CarrieC8983457 · Camped on Jun 8, 2024 at Campsite #16
We booked sites 16,17,18 based on reviews and pictures on the site. We wanted 3 adjoining sites with shade for our Girl Scout's first ever campout and we booked well in advance. When we arrived, the sites had piles of cutdown trees and branches multiple feet high covering the entire site spaces! There was ZERO room at all for tents, zero shade, and they were filled with hazard! There were even ropes up with signs that said "DANGER" on them! The sites were not at all usable and the camp host even said "Sorry the website shouldn't have let you book these sites, they have been like this for a long time!" They only had two sites left to put us in and they were at opposite sides of the campground so my girls couldn't even camp together and we had to squeeze into 2 sites instead of the 3 we paid for. One was okay but the other has zero shade which was a bummer. We made it work by the girls were super disappointed.

This review is for spot 29 only. Great spot, large pull through with shade. Large enough our family members that reserved spot 15 (and were unable to pitch a tent due to tree logs obstructing the tent pad) were able to join us. Excellent facility and we will be back.
@Christoph646F5 · Camped on May 31, 2024 at Campsite #15
This review applies to site 15 only. Many trees were cut down and there were large logs and remnant branches strewn on the site. There was no room to set up a tent. Fortunately a family member had another site which was large, so we were able to set up on his site.

Nice area to be in cooler weather. There are dog friendly hiking trails right out of the campground (possible stream crossing). The frogs are crazy loud :). Some sites have more shade than others so do your research. Pit toilets were kept clean. Saw the camp host several times cruising the campground.

The worst camping experience I have had to date. Whoever the camp host is. Terrible host. It's absolutely horrible. I came up, and it was raining. I was "OFFROAD" so I could unload everything easier. The host drives up immediately, starts yelling at me, and I can't be off the road. I told him I understood I'm simply unloading since all the rain, and he said I don't care. You need to move your car now. Threatening me saying I'll call the police if I didn't. All while YELLING. I had even said 3 words when he started all the yelling. I will never go to this campground.4 hours later. While just finishing eating. After I had moved my car. The man comes back again, saying your vehicle is completely off-road, and I told you this before. You don't move. I'm going to call law enforcement. I told him to call law enforcement because I clearly COMPLETELY OFF ROAD. I also told him he doesn't have to yell at me.He claims he was hard of hearing, and so he speaks loud. If he knew this, then he should have approached differently, but he clearly was yelling because some campers from down the hill were yelling, "Is everything alright. Would NEVER RECOMMEND COMING HERE EVER, not with this host.I've also attached pictures to his 2nd claim after I had moved that I was COMPLETELY OFF ROAD. That Host was a complete asshole. Where I was there was nothing but the black asphalt and some dirt. Then the tree next to me.My area was far away from everyone.the only complaint was from him. I would never go here again.

What a beautiful campsite! Water spigots are nearby, toilets are clean, it's quiet, and trails are easily accessible. We heard the arroyo toads croaking all night!

I wish they would post pictures of the camp sites online. Me and my family got lucky with ours however there are some very small sites 1-6 in particular. Also some sites are very over grown.

We arrived at Dripping Springs campground after staying at Pechanga Rv park. Talk about culture shock! We loved it!! The trees, the quiet, nature! Its a darling little campground with lots of space between sites and nice hiking trails. We will return for sure!

Great space with easy faucet access. The bathrooms are a bit away, which can be good or bad. We really enjoyed ourselves and would book here again.
@RichardS712869 · Camped on Jan 25, 2024 at Campsite #23
Camp ground was well maintained. Though trails had limited markings there was never a question as where the trails led to. Some parts were a little over grown but the views made it all worth it.

Nice little campground, mostly empty when we went. Kept clean and quiet, beautiful trees and very short drive from Temecula. Only negative is camp host didn't sell firewood but we were able to pick some up just down the road from Vail Lake KOA campground, so only a minor inconvenience. Would recommend! There was no cell reception for Verizon anywhere within the campground.

site 33 - pull-through, long site. trailer is a little far from firepit and picnic table so awning doesn't do much. near a round a bout so decent amount of cars passed by.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
