Great location with views of Swan Lake and a short path to a small gravel beach w/ a rowboat & canoe. Cabin & outhouse were clean; firewood provided though we didn't need it on a warm June evening; and a few basic supplies left by others. Out group of 3 enjoyed our night at Swan Lake.

Good snow cover and a packed down trail made for easy access. Lake was froze over but did have some overflow. Some open creeks still so be careful if going off trail!

Such a beautiful cabin on a beautiful lake! The canoes were an awesome addition and I love that this cabin's stove has the glass pane for seeing the fire - such a small thing, but a difference I noticed. We saw a family of loons on the lake and salmon! Swan Lake Cabin was my favorite cabin on the trail - we hope to come stay again!

Great little cabin. However, there was no firewood readily available due to it being a no snow machine year. Upon arrival to the cabin we had to fell 2 trees for firewood. Luckily (but unfortunately) there is plenty of spruce beetle kill and a pretty decent axe and saw at the cabin. The stove worked great and got the place very toasty. The creek was accessible for fresh water, yet we often just melted snow. The previous cabin-dwellers kinda left of mess, both inside and outside. We dug out a walkway to the wood storage shed and removed the majority of the trash that was left behind.

Excellent state cabin in great shape. A bit of a hike but Resurrection trail is worth it

This was our favorite cabin along the Resurrection Pass Trail. We loved the view from the porch and appreciated the access to the lake with the canoes. We paddled for quite a ways, but never reached the other end of the lake. The wind was quite strong, so be aware which way it's blowing before heading out.

The Swan Lake cabin is a peaceful refuge and I will certainly look to book it again. It is the perfect distance for a long day hike in, rewarded by a cozy cabin that is easy to heat and not so easy to cool. We stayed in the first part of June so we had to traipse through a very cold stream that had taken over the trail just before reaching the cabin but I doubt that would be the case even now. Thank heavens we could dry those boots by the stove!

stayed two nights. Found a cache of precut, pre-split cottonwood under a nearby spruce and used about half of it. So nice! I went for Thanksgiving and finding usable wood in the area was otherwise really difficult, as everything was wet from the fall rains and basically frozen anyway.

Stove worked well, but I needed to up my game on fire starting. Luckily that second night after I found the cache it worked really well.

Cabin was otherwise exactly what expected: terrific but simple!

We came down from Hope and took the northern spur trail to the cabin. That trail is garbage compared to the southern spur trail to the cabin. If you have time, I highly recommend going around to the southern trail. The cabin is nice, but it's one of the smaller ones. There is a wood shed with implements, but the splitting maul is dull and nicked; it's not good for much. I bludgeoned a couple of logs into submission, but I switched to the saw after that. Great views, and there are a row boat and canoe on the lake. Oars and kids life vests are in the woodshed. Lots of water fowl and fish to be seen. The running water source is only about 100 yards from the cabin. and the water was great. The outhouse is about 50 yards behind the cabin, and was well kept. Over all, we enjoyed our stay. and would definitely go again.

Upgraded Cabin . Could use some more larger logs from the burn area so we wouldn’t have to search for local firewood.. We stayed there for two days. It’s a beautiful setting

The Swan Lake Cabin is an incredible place to stay the night nestled at the edge of a lake that did, indeed, serve as a home to many swans. A piece worth knowing - the cabin contains a wood stove that heats up the relatively small cabin quite quickly. In November 2019 there was just enough wood for us for one night and enough to leave for the next folks. Beyond that the wood shed only had one or two extremely knotted rounds (not sure if or how often wood is stocked).

Well I paid for it and never got to stay in it because of the fires, you guys never contacted me or return my money or say that I can still use it, if I did that to you I don’t know what you would have done, so if you still have any concern please return my money for not using the cabin you guys asked to return because of the fires, I did get to stay my 1st day at fox creek !

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
