The cabin was clean, well stocked, and well maintained. We tried to leave in it in better condition then we found it. We so appreciate this program and opportunity. Thank you Recreaction.gov

Cabin was clean, good wood supply, nice hatchet for splitting wood. The top bunks are too close to the ceiling.

We have stayed here in the winter twice now and it is a fantastic little cabin! Just an FYI, the stove is pretty skinny and only fits a couple logs at a time. There are also lots of windows, so if the fire goes out, it gets cold quickly. The river is also nearly impossible to access in the winter due to snow load, so bring plenty of drinking water. Every other year snow machines are allowed on the trail and this year they were allowed which made the trail really nice for skiing/snowshoeing out. Highly recommend this cabin!

Always a slog on the way in but it’s worth the way food tastes when you get there. Cabin heats up nice and the people before us left a nice amount of wood to compliment what we hauled. Left a good pile for the next person as should be done on a non motorized year. Will return to the cabin when ever I get a chance.

Very icy. Bad news was that skiing wasn’t possible for almost all of the trail, but the good news was that ice cleats sufficed and snowshoes stayed stashed in the sleds. Smart to have gear options though with variable snow/ice conditions. Cabin was lovely. Thank you for the firewood, we did our best to leave it as we found it. We had fun doing the puzzle. :)

Went on a motorized winter, 4 of us and 2 dogs went in with machines via the North side. Trail was in very good condition this year. We went Feb 18-20. There are a few sections where the hillside falls away below the trail so it's worth taking it slow through those areas. Saw some wolf tracks about 3/4 of the way to the cabin following the trail. This cabin is best for 4 people or less and is beautiful. Love the dutch door. Will definitely come back and probably stay at one of the cabins further up the trail next time.

Cute little cabin on the creek with some Mountain View’s. Did it in early November with snow. Trail is a breeze. Water source close by.

Caribou Creek cabin was wonderful on out one-night stay on 6 June. The cabin and the Resurrection Trail were in good shape, and the butterflies and swifts were active around the cabin.

I canceled due to ice, rain, and windy conditions on the road and trail the day I was planning to leave.

The cabin was nice. The updating and cleaning up that was done sometime in the last several years really looks nice.

There was no wood when we arrived. We had plenty of time to get some, cut it, get a fire going, and put some in the wood shelter for the next people. Please remind people to leave some wood in the cabin and some in the wood shelter for the next people.

We had a great time at Caribou Creek cabin. The hike is not too bad but when we went it was pretty over grown so we had to wear long sleeves which made it kind of hot for us. The hike is not too hilly and we took our time. Not much to see on the trail, it only comes down to the creek a few times. The cabin is right on the bank of the creek and is at the forks of 2 creeks. There was plenty of firewood at the site along with an axe etc. It's very comfortable place to stay and very quiet. Didn't see many people at the time we went. The creek did have trout running in it all the way from the bridge up to the cabin. Lot's of moose and bear sign.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
