This is a beautiful, well kept campground. The camp hosts are terrific. One star off because it really needs a loop that is generator free. Each morning promptly at 8 AM the camper directly across from us fired up and then every afternoon a camper to the right of us fired up. This meant for both breakfast and dinner we "enjoyed" the roar of generators for hours. Of note, we were in the upper campground. Surprising that a 40 foot RV could get in there. The larger sites are in the lower loop. Those are also much more level so I couldn't figure out why the upper loop was chosen. This was in early Sept and there were a total of 4 campers in the entire campground.

It's a good spot if you have a Rv as for a tent it's in the middle of everything. Site 37 is particularly right next to it, so so close. Overall an ok spot.

Excellent site if you're tent camping it has steps that lead down to the table, camp pad, and fire pit. The fire pit sits very close to the stairs so beware that this could be an issue with small children. This area had a nice wide parking spot, and easy for two vehicles to fit. The site can easily be secluded since you step down into it and your parked car can block you from the passer by people walking around the campground. You can see into site 35 easily so that site will feel close if it's reserved and there is a small path that links them, but overall a great site.

It has a good size parking spot for an RV as for tent it's not bad. It's close to the restrooms and the sites sharing the middle such as 36, 37 and 38 kind of close. It has a nice size tent pad area but overall an ok site.

This site has a long driveway and it's pushed up against the trees which gives up more privacy. The area around the fire and table is open and spacious. I highly recommend this site if you need extra space. I reserved sites 33,34,35, and 36 and this was the best one out of them all, but site 34 is a close 2nd. Sites 34 and 35 are easily linked with a small path to walk to without getting on the road, so if you're traveling with another you can reserve these two together. The downsize of this site is the tent pad area is very close to the road, but of the campsite but not a huge deals since not many vehicles drive by.

It is a very good campground. However there were about 50 % no shows. This left many really good sites empty. The host did not have adequate up dates to open the no show sites.

Great campground. Out houses were very clean and hiking trails are tight there.

Quiet campground with spread out sites, beautiful trees and surrounded by mountains and meadows with great trails. On a little traveled highway and near to villages on the High Road to Taos.

Beautiful area. Campsites were clean and nice. Some were spacious and some sites were right next to one another. We lucked out that it was pretty empty when we were there so it was quiet and private.

Beautiful area. Helpful camp hosts. Firewood for sale on site. Verizon does not work at the campsite. As others have mentioned, Sipapu is only about 3 miles up the road and cell service kicks back in around there.

campsite #19 is not as long as listed, with a washout area that kept us from pulling all the way in. We were able to get out trailer off the street barely. Camp Host told us she has been requesting maintenance as well as changes to the website to make many sites listed smaller as too many people book only to find the driveways are not as long as listed, just like our site. Too bad, it is almost perfect otherwise!

Campground and bathrooms were clean despite there being soooo many campers. The fishing was great and hikes easily accessible.

This is the second year in which we had to pack water in to have water. It would be great to have water available on site.

We stayed at site #25. Be AWARE that the iPhone/apple Map directions to the site were WAY OFF, but Google Maps got us there. The campground was beautiful, the night sky was amazing, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the river/creek ran right behind us. It was wonderful to listen to the "babbling brook" while we slept. This site is also very close to the trailhead, but far enough to still be private. Although there was no TP for at least 24 hours, the restroom was very clean, and no flies!!! On the downside... it was difficult to find a completely level spot to set up our tent so we did "roll" a bit at night, but hey, it was a fun adventure!!!! Site #25 is perfect for an RV, just back in and don't go all the way around the loop.

Campground is clean, well maintained. Beautiful setting, campsites spaced nicely.Campground hosts are friendly, helpful and make rounds regularly.We would camp at Agua Piedra again.

Site 24 does not have enough room or level ground for a tent. Looks like some ground work disturbed the spot where a tent could go. Near the creek would have been good but no level ground there also. Only use for rv or car camping.

I booked one of the last sites available and the parking was a bit small for my RV but it was really lovely and had plenty of room around the firepit and picnic table. The tables have some rot but they are outdoors, after all. The restrooms were smelly, but I didn't need to use them much so I wasn't too concerned with that. The park is really nice and there is space between sites, and lots of beautiful trees.

Beautiful area, large trees, big campsites with open space in-between. Found a geo cache up the hill on the back side (kids loved it). Road is far enough away and traffic is fairly light so not an issue. Older style out houses, but clean and well taken care of.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
