The restrooms were clean and warm and it was a quiet comfortable place to stay. It is not far from the trail so you can bike to the park viewpoints or down to Ruby's Inn for and ice cream.

We liked the location of the campground a lot, since many of the top hikes in the park can be done without using a car or the shuttle. Getting in and out of many of the sites can be tough depending on the equipment. Especially people with trailers often have a hard time (not much room to maneuver). For vans some of the driveways should be less steep.

Very nice and clean compground, very recommended. Showers are 5 minutes away by car (near the camp grocery and cost few dollars). Do not hesitetate to come here!

The location was not bad and it was quite during my stay. However, there is a tree stump right there by where you park your car. I tripped and injured myself really badly when leaving the camp site around 5am in the morning. They need to remove that tree stump altogether before they kill somebody!

The location is nice but we didnt stay after arriving. Too late to cancel. There is only one restroom per loop and our loops restroom had a sign on it that it was permanently closed. Wish we knew this before.

Beautiful, quiet, clean. The area was extremely well maintained. We had two stays here, one of which was during the new moon - we kept the fly off our tent just to see the stars. I couldn't recommend this campground highly enough!

Nice campground, good amenities. Walking distance to nice Bryce views.

Sunset campground was amazing. We rented a site for a single-car, tent-only and it was perfect. The campsite does not feel or look crowded at all, even when it is fully booked. We were surrounded by nature, towering pine trees, fresh mountain air and even wildlife! The bathrooms (albeit lacking showers) have everything you need: privacy, clean toilets and even a separate kitchen area to wash your dishes! It was just what we were looking for and just what we needed to get away from San Diego for a long weekend. Seeing as the parks are right next to each other, we used our campsite as a "base of operations" to visit Capital Reef NP for the day! If we ever make it back to Bryce then Sunset Campground is where we're staying in.

Our campsite was A237 A loop. This is a bad campsite. You have to share the parking pad with A236. The picture on the recreation.gov site does not indicate that the parking pad is a double one. Fortunately, A237 site has the clear side to the RV entrance. A236 has the RV entrance facing the RV of site A237. The two nights we were there we did have good neighbors but the sites were much less than ideal for both of us. The depth of the parking was also an issue. We have a trailer that is 21' long hitch to rear end. We had to park our Highlander perpendicular to the trailer to keep it off the road and there was barely enough room to park it there. We did overhang the A236 site about a foot. A ranger came by and told us that we could not have any part of the wheels off the paving of the site so that is why we overhung the adjacent site slightly. That did not cause a problem with the neighbors. The second day a long trailer pulled with a large pickup parked several sites away from us and they parked the pickup completely off the paved pad. The same ranger drove past the pickup site at least twice and did not require them to park elsewhere. The park itself was great to visit and we had a good time.

Trs bien situ, terrain assez intime. Nous avons ador nos deux nuit.

We loved staying at Sunset Campground and were lucky to get a spot. Since RVs are not allowed to park in any parking areas in Bryce Canyon NP make sure that you set out on an early hike in the morning and be back before check out at 11:30. This should give you enough time to complete one of the loops.

The campsite was under the trees and the place was very pleasant.The only thing that bothered me was that it required 10 coins for the shower, which was a bit outdated.
@BrettKC3A4A020 · Camped on Oct 3, 2024 at Campsite #A228
Campground was quiet and clean. Very close to the canyon hiking trails, shuttle bus stop, and bike path. Campground host was super nice. Would definitely stay again. Site A228 was nice with good space between neighboring sites. Two trees on either side of the entrance, coupled with a turn and drop off on the opposite side of the road made backing in the trailer challenging but doable with patience. Scrapes on one of the trees would seem to indicate others had unintended trip souvenirs.

Location is this campgrounds strong point - Bryce is beautiful. However the campground is mostly a place to park, with no privacy or space, and exceptionally unlevel sites. Someone needs to give NPS a level and lessons on how to use one.

Bryce is an amazing park, with unique and amazing stone formations. You have to see them in person to believe your eyes. Being on site at night, with the incredible night sky, is very special.

Our site was located behind the bathroom, so once it was dark, every time someone entered the bathroom, the light came on with a motion detector and then stayed on for a long time, even when no one was in the bathroom. Because of this, the light shone into our tent for an extended period of time every time the bathroom was used at night.The campsites are very close to each other.

Camping with travel trailer a bit tricky getting pulling vehicle on the pad along with the trailer. But close enough seems to be okay. Camped here and drove to CR and Zion parks as day trips. This is definitely the best place to camp (over the other two). Easy access to tram for exploring the park.

Great site. The host was lovely and showed us where to hike with out limited time. Neighbors were courteous.

Nice campground, close to the point of views and shuttle. Only thing missing is showers. We had to take the shuttle to go at the General Store where the showers were.
@AshleyH5737268 · Camped on Sep 27, 2024 at Campsite #A220
Beautiful campground and great location. My only complaint is there is NO soap in the bathrooms to wash your hands. This definitely needs improved upon.
@KristineS22600 · Camped on Sep 26, 2024 at Campsite #C288
Spacious camp site. Probably one of the most isolated site out of all of them. Close to the restrooms so it was convenient when needed.

Nice RV camp spots in the woods. Just a short walk to Sunset Point.

The campground was quiet and the toilets clean.
@JamesH5225020 · Camped on Sep 22, 2024 at Campsite #A236
We found it impossible to book more than one night at a time using the website; we had to make three separate reservations, one for each night we were there. Moreover we had to move each day to a new site. The website is very poorly designed; it used to be a lot more usable. Also one of the sites (#A236-237) was a double site we had to share with another camper.; this is unacceptable! Otherwise the the campground was quiet and the toilets clean.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
