Mountain View Campground, Lowman, ID

Mountain View Campground is located in the Lowman Ranger District of the Boise National Forest (1 hr 42 min northeast of Boise, ID) with an elevation of 3,836 feet. There are a total of 14 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid May to the end of September. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 18 and 80 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. Fees range from $15.00 to $30.00. Some amenities include drinking water, restroom, trash dumpster. Activities include ohv trails nearby, fishing, floating sports, ohv allowed from campsite.

Stayed 2 days at Mountain View, camp host was excellent. Found us a place for our extra truck and trailer near our camp. Would also do regular laps through the campground which made us feel good since had rafting gear and what not in our camp while running the local rivers. It is ideal for a rafting or kayak trip.

Convenient water access. 5 mins away from kirkham hot spring. A lot of mosquitos though

We stayed 3 nights. The site was clean and by the river. But the bathroom was dirty and ran out of toilet paper. And the trash bins were overflowing as well with bags laid on top of containers. Camp host had a trailer set up but their truck was NEVER there. Never saw them once in 3 days.

We go every year around June for remembrance of my sister. She loved this campground and enjoyed watching the rafters and kayakers. We also enjoy the campground hosts. They are very friendly and always have the best stories to tell.

This campsite was not our original plan, but we are SO glad we decided to go with it. We had the double site (#13) and I cannot recommend it enough! It was so spacious for both our families and a 10 second walk to this beautiful river access spot. We stayed out there all day, it was amazing. Perfect spot for fishing too! Very quiet campground, well definitely come back again next year!

Picked spot 11 for tent basecamp while out exploring the area over the weekend. Not a lot of shade but a nice spot. The camping spot was very clean and right next to the river. It’s close to spot 10, so hopefully you get good neighbors. We lucked out with good neighbors so it made our experience even better. Camp host was very nice and made sure we had no questions or issues.

This is a beautiful campsite with a river running by and it is very clean. There are amazing tent sites with very flat spots that are super comfortable.

A beautiful campground, great host. Water was nearby, tried some fishing, no luck, but played in the water all day for two days. Campgrounds can be all about your camping neighbors, they can really ruin a wonderful time, but we had the best neighbors. Everyone in the campground was so nice, we had the best Labor Day weekend.

Beautiful and spacious primitive camping spaces. My kids loved going to draw water from the hand pump well. Super clean and hosts were friendly and attentive.

Close to highway 21 but the river drowns out the noise during the day. Mornings and evenings were Wonderful. Bathrooms were spectacular thx the campground host.
