Lovely cabin.Good birding.All the dead trees from whenever that big fire was take a lot from what could be beautiful.No running water makes it very hard to mop the floors :).

It is a lovely place, the vault toilet was clean. The cabin could use a fresh coat of paint, and it is very warm this time of year. The picture window was stunning! Our only issue is that it is not disability friendly. My husband is in a wheelchair, and a ramp would have been helpful. All in all, a great experience! The night sky was stunning. Thank you!

Was supposed to have running water. No water, no notification and no help/assistance in getting drinking water

We enjoyed our overnight stay in the Beaver Creek cabin. The trail to the cabin is well marked for deep snow with blue diamonds. along the way. The cabin was clean and there was plenty of firewood in the woodshed to keep us warm.

Nice cabin, experience would have been better if ability to close the gate which is available at other guard station cabins in the area. Many vehicles drove through. People walked into area from trail. Could use a larger sign as most of the cabins have, Please respect the privacy of the cabin renters. The area was busy.

Nice cabin. Tucked away. Wood burning stove keeps the cabin toasty. Requires snowshoes to access in winter and spring as there is a lot of snow and it stays late. Gas lights work and are a plus. Have exact GPS coordinates for cabin and don't attempt to find in the dark if snowshoeing, like we did ;)

Recently updated wood stove and floor makes this cabin so much nicer to stay at. There are so many trails to hike, snowshoe, or cross-country ski on. It is a great destination during the winter and summer

This was our 10th winter trip to Beaver Creek Cabin. The cabin was very clean, there was enough firewood to keep us plenty warm, and the snow conditions were perfect for skiing. The night sky and stars were awesome.

Code didn’t work to get into the cabin after multiple attempts. Had to snowshoe out in the dark. Ranger station didn’t offer to refund.

This is our second stay at Beaver Creek and we had a wonderful time! Beautiful setting, We got tons of snow (early November) but stayed toasty with plenty of firewood to feed the stove. Wish the front door would close without turning the deadbolt, but other than that, it couldn't have been better. Thank you!!

Cabin is in a beautiful location,the inside of the place is not clean. We cleaned for the 2 days we were there and it's still not clean. Other than that,it's a great spot!

This cabin is just amazing. The new floors and shower are nice additions, and the campgroundis perfect for large parties.

Overall a very peaceful, quiet, pleasant experience. The only improvement that could be made would be that the 2 sofas were worn. The interior cabin bathroom was locked: not sure why but perhaps it was early in the season? However the exterior toilet outbuilding was open.

Could use a little more help with stuff to clean and defrost the refrigerator more often

I love this location. It's so private and beautiful. The nearby Beaver Creek trail is very nice and mostly shaded. BUT the cabin is poorly stocked with kitchen utensils and dishes. We made due with some plastic cutlery and cups left from previous guests. Recommend bringing what you need to cook and serve food. There are pots and pans but most are in terrible condition. Also, there are mice so don't leave any food out on the kitchen cabinets or in open storage boxes. Futon beds are not comfortable so recommend bringing an air mattress to place on top. We'll rent again and next be better prepared.

we tried to snowshoe in on Friday, march 19, 2021. the trail over Edna creek has melted and there is no safe pass from Whoop Um Up parking Lot. Either the USFS needs to advise users to park north of the cabin and take FS road south, or cancel future reservations. Simply put, it is not safe.

Amazing tranquil location to spend a few nights in the winter (with kids)! Only complaint would be the amenities. There was no large stock pot for melting snow and no cooking utensils. We had previously called the Forest Service to inquire about the cooking amenities but they hadn't ever been to the cabin and didn't have any info. The beds in the pictures are also no longer there. There were two twin beds, no queen bed and bunkbeds like the online pictures. The futons in the living room are shot, don't plan on sleeping on those!

Beaver Creek Cabin is a great place to base a winter trip. We love the cozy wood stove and being so close to miles and miles of cross country ski and snowshoe trails. The Smokey Bear curtains are a classic!

Great stay. Would like to see a door between the kitchen and the living room to keep the heat in.

Had a lovely snow storm on the drive to the cabin. Both of our vehicles, (4x4 pickups), made it. Tire chains helped. Arrived after dark. Found the cabin in good shape until we got the stove fire going. The cabin filled with smoke, the alarms went off, and that's when we relived the stove pipe was not fully attached. Now that every part of the stove is hot as heck with the fire roaring, we had to reattach the stove pipe. We did a back woods patch job with some aluminum foil and mechanic wire. It worked! Outside of the stove pipe incident, the trip was great. Found the cabin very nice and clean. The propane lamps worked great and the cabin is stocked with plenty of fire wood and a splitting maul. The rest of our party came in the following day, (4x4 Jeep). It snowed on and off during our stay. Cleaned everything and emptied the stove of ash before leaving. We had a great time and plan returning in the spring. Thanks!

Other than the mice droppings, this place was a great get away. The pond out back is fun for the dogs and we got the refrigerator working so that wasn't a problem. This is our 4th time up there and we hope to return!!

Really cool location- the setting is beautiful with the creek running near by. The grounds are expansive so plenty of room for parking and recreating near the cabin. The Beaver Creek trail is a real nice hike, although had some downed trees across it making it a bit challenging to mtn bike. Gobs of firewood right out the door so that's nice. Biggest negative was that torture chamber bed in the main room! I'm a pretty easy sleeper and even I couldn't sleep on that lumpy excuse for a bed. Then of course there was a TON of flies in the cabin but was probably the time of the year- September. Be aware, there's no lights (electric or propane) so either bring your own lantern bulbs to fix theirs (found no spares), or bring lights of your own!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
