Site 7 in the photos looks beautiful, its not!Flood damage and tree removal has drastically changed the quality of this site. The toilets were clean but ran out of tp our first day.We booked the site for two nights but stayed only one.

Rombo is a peaceful and beautiful campground. The camp host does an amazing job of keeping the bathrooms and the campsites super clean.

The board at the entrance to the campground says a site costs $15.00 yet the rec.gov app charges $23??????

Very quiet, clean campground when we were there in early June. Was not busy at that time. Well maintained sites and facilities. Some sites can be a little tight for larger rigs. Friendly campground hosts. Watch out for the ants, we had large mounds not far from the picnic tables. Bring ant spray in case.

Great sites and camp host. Love the nearby fishing access. Super clean and well-shaded as well.

The restrooms, which are the last thing you want to visit when camping, where the cleanest and have the most pleasant odor we have ever experienced. The host took time to introduce herself and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. As a whole, the camp ground was very tidy. On the down side and has nothing to do with the camp ground, the river, while very beautiful, has very poor fishing.

No potable water at the spigots. Been several years without it being fixed.

Campground Hosts are almost always helpful and courteous but Rombo hosts Laura and "Rombo" Rick went above and beyond to accommodate our special circumstances! Because our next campground had been closed due to flooding they helped us and the camper couple we were traveling with extend our stay at Rombo for the canceled dates. Then, unfortunately, one of our friends tested positive for COVID and left to return home. After Laura and Rick learned of this they contacted the NFS who subsequently closed and "haz-matt-ed" the pit toilet and campsite picnic table that had been used. Because we had been exposed we were given nitrile gloves and access to an isolated pit toilet and water supply to protect other campers in case we developed COVID also...we never did. This allowed us to "isolate" at Rombo. We felt cared for, looked after and Rick passed on fly fishing advice to me. Thank you again Rick and Laura! You are the best!

Nice little campground but most of the campsites are set up backwards for people with RVs. The table and fire rings are on the service side of the RV.

The campground was great but the host was even better. She gave my kids coloring books and when I realized I forgot my lighter she gave me three match books. Can’t say enough good things about Laura!

This is one of the best campgrounds I’ve ever stayed in, with beautiful, quiet, very large sites and the magnificent West Fork of the Beartooth River.. Sites 4 and 5 are best, in my opinion, but there are also 3 very nice sites which are first come , first served, and those 3 are really nice as well.. Site 2 is spacious and very private.. The campground is great for exploring the riverbank and has a lot of huge, gorgeous Ponderosa Pines.. The only drawback is the broken water system, there is only one place to get water. I hope that gets fixed..

Well, we arrived to a campground nearly devoid of people (cool), with a super creepy vibe. I’m familiar with that fork of the river, but was inexplicably uncomfortable. We decided within ten minutes that - especially given the fire ban - we wouldn’t be staying, but there was no camp host to speak to. There was an empty site marked ‘Host’ but not so much as a water jug to indicate someone was staying there. Also, we had tried to reschedule our stay prior to arrival and the Rec.gov site showed that it was full and not possible. Said the same thing for a few other reservations we had. None of which was true upon our arrival. Whenever we DID have a camp host present, they freely expressed their frustration with the rec.gov system…. Soooo

We loved this site! We brought a church group of girls and it was perfect for multiple tents and hammocks. We reserved 4 and 5 and it was perfect for our little group. There are 3 tables at site 4 which were so useful! We loved being right next to the river and the girls loved catching frogs there. I love how private it felt because the sites are nicely spaced out. There was lots of shade which was appreciated. The camp hosts were very kind and accommodating. They kept the vault toilets clean. Potable water was easily accessible. I would absolutely come back and bring my family!

This is a hidden gem. Hard to believe though that the water has not been on for over 7 years due to maintenance issues. That is frustrating.

Clean campground and bathrooms. Friendly and knowledgable hosts with free firewood. Some trout fishing and excellent hiking opportunities. No cell service. Trapper Peak Hiking and Painted Rocks Boating and water play are the premiere activities close by.

Cleanest outhouses I’ve ever seen. Walt and Sharon are the best!

Very much enjoyed this pretty campground along the river. Would absolutely go again. Our site #8 did not have a river view but could get to river down short path, where we hung a hammock. relaxing and beautiful.

We had an excellent stay in a beautiful park. Campsite #5 right on the river

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
