The host made our stay exceptional. She answered all of our questions. She kept a clean and tidy campground. Though cell service was not found in the camp, a short walk West to a high point provided service to text.

The campground was in perfect condition. Camphost Peggy is one of the best, friendly to and tries to make your camping experience memorable.

We loved the stream and the quiet area to soak in nature! We stayed here on the way to our family Yellowstone vacation and would recommend it to others!

Campground and toilets were very clean. Our camp host was outstanding. She was able find a way for us to stay 2 nights even though we only reserved one night. She was also friendly and personable. We could tell she loved taking care of the campers. She made our stay memorable.

Awesome! Loved the campground - great lake - clean pit toilets. Came out to hike in the Cloud Peak Wilderness. I saw a previous review from Caren about only wanting to see Wyoming license plates at the campground. We are from WI and we loved it! Well worth the drive out west. We will be back (sorry Caren) but dont worry we will respect and take care of your states beauty.

Nice area to camp pending the camping site. Campground has had many trees removed so shade may be lacking, at times. Sites are a little close to each other so one may hear generators easier. Bigget complaint, for this campgtound and noticed in other campgrounds in the Bighorns, are the picnic tables are very close to the fire pits. It is hard to set up a picnic table tarp without the fear of your tarp getting melted or burnt/smokey. Lastly, the outhouse was very rank during the day.

Beautiful area and Peggy, the camphost, couldn't have been nicer to find us another couple nights stay down the road...Thanks for a memorable experience! John Phoenix, AZ

Peggy the camp host is always awesome. She does a great job with the campground and with helping campers. Tie Hack Campground is always a must stay throughout our camping season.

Campground was not our favorite but it just wasnt as scenic as we like. Our neighbors barely left and the next reservation arrived 3 hours early. They were eager to take over the whole area which didnt make the rest of our stay very enjoyable.

Campground and campsite were very clean and well organized. Facilities provided were very well maintained and clean. The vault toilets were the most sanitary I've ever experienced at a Forest Service facility. Peggy, the campground manager, gets a 10+. She checked with us every day to make sure our stay was going well and shared lots of local information that we needed to make our visit as carefree as possible. When we had an issue with after-hours noise with our neighbor, she handled it straight away and with grace. She is by far the most energetic and caring host that I've ever had at a campground. We will definitely be visiting Tie Hack again.

Our host Peggy was a nice gal. Will there ever be electric at the sites? It would make camping so much more enjoyable especially in the morning to make coffee.I do wish they could do something or at least limit the amount of time someone can use a generator, hard to enjoy the outdoors especially when they sit inside with the air on and the generator runs non stop until its out of gas and then the only time they come out is to refill the gas and it starts all over non stop.

Tie Hack is a beautiful campground with an amazing Camp Host. Peggy is amazing, and is always looking out for what's best for the campground, guests, and the entire Bighorn Mountain area. I would definitely camp here again (and I am already on my third time this summer) so don't be afraid to rough it a little in the Bighorns.

Tie Hack is a great place to camp. The biggest reasons is Peggy the host, who is always most welcoming and always working to make the campground super neat and clean. The campsites are all well maintained and it just a great place for family and friends.

We had a dry campsite. Some were flooded.
@DeborahY65322C · Camped on Jul 4, 2023 at Campsite #1
As always, our host Peggy is a gem! Because of heavy rains and inclement weather, she was most helpful in relocating many campers whose campgrounds had been closed. We were able to get a FCFS site that was high and dry and so we’re not impacted by the high water. Although the weather was cold and wet (with hailstorms as well as rain) our stay was as good as could be expected under those conditions. Vault toilets were clean and well maintained. As others have noted, it could be an absolutely perfect location if there were reliable cell service. Perhaps it’s time for the National Park Service to step up and use leftover COVID funds to help provide communication for safety and security through Starlink.

While the campground is a good distance from the lake, the over all location is perfect. It’s quiet, the sites are well spaced, and camp host Peggy made our experience delightful.

Quiet campground, the friendliest host, gorgeous environment. We stayed in late May for hiking and it was close to many accessible trails (given the high water level for the time of year). We ended up adding on an extra night because we just couldn’t leave!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
