Great camping spot, has everything you need and a couple of tent pads. Please remember to pack out all your garbage that includes that stuff you throw in the camp fire.

We stayed at 2 reserved locations as part of our 9 day 90 mi trip down the Green. The sites were nice. A little cramped for our big group.

Unfortunately we were not able to use the site. Because the bureau of reclamation decided to do the big water release over the holiday weekend we made the decision that it was not safe to bring our family on the river at that time. My review has nothing to do with the quality of the site but it would be great if the bureau of reclamation took recreational boaters into account. I feel it was a very dangerous decision to increase the water flow by over six times the normal flow during a holiday weekend. I hope everyone was OK and safe.

The fire pit was full of dirt and ash. Several piles of ash was under tree and along creek. The sign was not in the ground securely. Just had rocks piled up around it.The bench was off the rocks.

Well managed area! Campsites were very clean and well placed, ramps were efficient, signage was informative.

Site had plenty of shade. Tent pads were small so only able to fit 2 tents. Will work great for small group.

Wreckreation.gov is a scam and a bunch of criminals charging the public to access public land. There's a lawsuit against them, contact your representatives to make a complaint about the criminal racket of lawyers that run recreation. Gov

we always love Cottonwood Float-In. We just wish there were not so many politics involved in the water flows from the dam, versus the people who support their families on the river (i.e.- guide service companies). River was over 100 cfs lower than previous years, even though the reservoir was at MAXIMUM capacity. There has to be better balance.

Beautiful campsite, very clean, and well maintained. Room for 3 tents. Right on the river with a picnic table, fire grate, huge Ponderosa and lots of shade. Enough distance from other sites in the area for privacy. Great spot!

For the second time in a row after reserving a float in site at the green river for 3 days I found on my arrival that the person who takes care of the reservation board only wrote down 1 day reserved. This made the other 2 days available for first come first serve campers to take my other 2 days. I talked to the attendant at the little hole entrance booth and he told me he doesn't know anything about the reservation board and couldn't help me. I asked him if he knew wo took care of reservations and he didn't. Again this is the second time this has happened. It makes no sense to make a reservation 6 months in advance if you have no campsite on arrive. Thanks Joe Bair

Big pine 2 was a beautiful campsite but it’s a shared campsite. Was kinda weird pulling up with a big group to a camp where someone doing a solo float was there already. Felt like we were intruding. In future I would book both sites!

33 years in a row and counting. Love the camp sites. There were 3 men from California using large lures with 3 sets of treble hooks . They were tearing up fish and filming the fish being caught. Hooks in gills and eyes and it was hard to watch. This incredible fishery should be single hook and barbless.

Great location on the Green! It was a shorter first day, but the camp is beautiful!! We stayed at the Cat's Paw and it was perfect. Great tent spots and picnic table with plenty of shade provided by a big Ponderosa. Would stay again!

Bootleg was a fantastic site. Signage could be better to be more easily seen. The sites further down- particularly in the C section need signs. It seems as though some may be deliberately removing the signage to keep sites available for those more familiar with the river.

The board at Little Hole with all the float in camp site reservations was completely wrong. This is an issue since people are allowed to sign up on the board for available sites. We adjusted our reservations on Aug 1st, a week before our arrival. However, when we went down to check the board when we arrived in the area it had our old reservations which were at different camp spots. The board needs to be UPDATED DAILY. Last year we came and didn't have a reservation so checked the board and put our names on for a campsite and paid for it. When we arrived at the float in river camp spot it was already occupied by people that booked online and had their paperwork. So again the board wasn't correct and we ended up having to float all the way down to take out. It was very disappointing.

the green river is a very special place. the weather is very nice in the summer and reserved campsites hard to come by online. World class overnight raft, camp, and fish!

Beautiful and secluded stretch of river, it is a little slice of heaven! We will be back. Camping on the river was really nice.

The sign up board system for the float in campsites is not a good system.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
