Most things were great as usual. Camp was very nicely cleaned by camp host. Got in just before the fire restrictions, whew!

Camp Dick is special place along the peak to peak highway. I was disappointed in my latest experience there. The firepit had not been cleaned out since the previous user, so I had to clean it out. The pit toilets were full. I mean full. I'm not sure what the campground hosts spend their time on. Probably busy counting the money in their cash box from their $9.00 for six pieces of firewood. They certainly aren't busy making sure campers kept their dogs on leash, as I saw several dogs running free and wild. As far as useful information for future campers of Site #22, the site has shade in the morning until 9:30am and then the shade returns around 4:00pm. A moose and her calf came to visit us one day, foraging on the young aspen trees.

Excellent as usual.

The sites are clean and raked. The fire pits could be cleaned out better. But something has to be done about the smelly bathrooms (pit toilets') they stink to high heaven!!! You just want to throw up going in there. Even the air fresheners I brought and put in them did not help, the fly traps I added seemed to be working. When American Leisure folks were the hosts this wasn't a problem. the bathrooms always smelled fresh and inviting. Although the hosts did clean the bathrooms daily they still smelled horrible!! Maybe the hosts need to use a better cleaner or Maybe they just need emptied out more often or the vents need checked, something. It's a wonderful campground otherwise. Linda

Great campground - but you definitely want a site on the back loop in my opinion (which we had, and it was quiet and lovely). Many of the sites on the main road are more exposed / have less shade and you've got people driving by frequently as there's a trailhead with day-use parking nearby. Bathrooms were cleaned 2x/day. We would definitely return to this site!

We have been to Camp Dick for years, This was the first trip of the summer during the week so it was quiet and clean. They had a active crew upgrading the fire pits and a moose sighting to add some entertainment.

Camp host kept the restrooms very clean and well stocked. The trail connecting Camp Dick to peaceful Valley was somewhat difficult to hike because of downed trees across the trail. Moose was spotted near our campsite almost daily.

Wonderful, big sites, clean, good facilities, friendly and helpful site host, quiet, super views, nothing to fault and a wonderful first two nights of our trip.

The bathrooms were really filthy and disgusting at camp deck. We were camping quietly, when a group of teenagers pulled up very rapidly, almost hitting us and stopped in the campsite right next to us and just began to climb the trees, shout, and cause a ruckus. No one seemed to be in charge to make them stop. It was really disappointing. We come here quite often, and have a wonderful time mostly, but last time not so good.

Beautiful campground! Large sites. Next time want to be able to hear water.

Nice campground, but too many inconsiderate RV owners and their generators and barking dogs.

Quiet campground close to the RMNP. Campfire wood available for sale and running water was available for our stay. Campground host was a hoot!

A nice campground aside from some rude campers (loud generator on all night, generally rowdy past quiet hours). Little disappointed the camp host didn't intervene, but as I also didn't seek them out I have to assume some of the blame!

This site is very close to Middle St Vrain Creek - nice. It IS considered a double site - therefore when you reserve it you pay for 2 sites. One tent spot is in tree shade which is nice. Pit toilets clean, campground hosts friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely time at Camp Dick, the area was clean and beautiful and everyone was pretty respectful about noise. I look forward to another stay!

Great place to camp A little tight for a 30 camper , but definitely doable Make sure you fill your tank at home, the water is out of a lever spigot not suitable for a hose to connect to to fill you tank on arrival Camp host/land manager is awesome and very friendly

Campsite was very clean and well-maintained. I felt very safe, and the campsites on the edge of the campground either have lots of trees for privacy or a very cute little creek. The campsites in the middle were out in the open so it made sense none were reserved. Great experience, I'll definitely be back!

This is a beautiful campground, very well-maintained in a quiet forested area with the beautiful babbling St Vrain River along the grounds. Most sites have shade and are roomy. Sit by the river for a picnic or hike along the trail that follows the river. Youll see moose and other wildlife. Its also reasonably close to several local towns for supplies, food or restaurants. I live nearby and have been coming here since 1998. Always a nice, relaxed time in nature, away from the internet, phones and crowds. Great skies and stars. 5+ stars for sure.

Site #33. Great site. Really liked the campground. Easy access to trails. The people across from me didn't lock their car and a bear got in it so keep those aromatic items locked up. There will be bears.

Campground is well maintained. The area is beautiful and full of hummingbirds. We had a fantastic time.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
