Obey River Park Campground, Monroe, TN

Obey River Park Campground in Overton county is located 46 min northeast of Cookeville, TN with an elevation of 691 feet. There are a total of 127 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid April to the end of October. 101 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 14 and 194 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. 81 sites have electric and water hookups. 1 site has electric hookups. 31 sites have water hookups. Fees range from $22.00 to $50.00. Some amenities include shower, drinking water, sewer hookup, wifi, laundry facility, playground, boat ramp, swimming, restroom, trash dumpster, amphitheater, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, water skiing, floating sports.

Park is super clean, people are nice. Bathrooms are a little outdated, but they are really clean. I would rather have a clean bathroom/ shower than one thats updated and dirty. Will be back again. Loved it there.

It was a beautiful4 days at the campground! The leaves were beautiful and the lake was gorgeous as always. So peaceful! I love site 115 and will try to get it again.

Highly recommend!! Very clean, quiet and friendliness staff around! I absolutely love this campground! Its definitely our summer go to! Cant wait for opening season next year!!

Beautiful site and views with easy water access! Luckily it was empty because the sites were on top of one another. We tent camp and the only space to put up is in the (large, pointy rock) gravel driveway. This is fine with a thick air mattress or cot, but our kids kept rolling off their mats onto the rocks. Bathrooms were decent, laundry was a bonus, and the marina is beautiful! We'd definitely stay here again in an rv, probably not in a tent.

We had a nice stay at Obey River. Like most parks if your unit is a Fifth Wheel or Motorhome there will be tree limbs that are too low to get under without rubbing the top and or sides. This park was about average for that.

We had a great time. THe lake was at a low level but still warm and the grandkids played there all day. The facilities were clean and the staff was friendly. We will go back when we can.

Great camping experience at Obey River. Stayed in 2 different waterfront sites and will definitely be back. Every single park attendant we had contact with at the front entrance was extremely friendly and helpful with any questions and Im thinking we saw at least 4 different people.

Good Camping experience. May I suggest a couple of things? 1. As soon as a tree that supplies much needed shade dies it should be replaced.2. Put warning signs up to warn people not to throw the big stones out onto the beach area creating a tripping hazard when the water is up. (Witnessed that happening)!3. A lot of great sites don't have electric(what a shame)! How difficult could that be?4. Don't plan on putting sewer on very many sites, I don't see the need for it.Thanks!

Dale Hollow Lake is beautiful. We have been camping at Obey River Campground for over 30 years. It's so difficult to get a good site for a 36 foot camper, but we lucked out and reserved a waterfront site this year. It was beautiful!

Good campground with good proximity to Sunset Marina and Restaurant. Be aware the seems to be no enforced check in time other than the check out time of existing campers. Well before 2pm rolls around expect new guests wanting you to checkout so they can check in.
