Love this campground. For some reason this year, in September, we had a horrible fly infestation, so we really needed a screen over all our table and food, which I have never needed before, so did not have. Came to realize we were close to the overflow dumpsters in the parking lot, and they did not have lids. these dumpsters also get fish remains from the cleaning station. Thus, the smells was horrific and the flies were likely breeding in the open containers. Otherwise, our visit was perfect.

Beautiful campground. Wonderful camp hosts. Clean bathrooms. Quiet at night. We had a great stay - Monday-Saturday. Thank you, Camp Hosts, for making our week so great.

Great campground and great hosts. Got a little crowded on the weekend, but that's to be expected.

There were only 3 parties camping when we went the end of September, 2023. Wouldve been epic, had it not been for a crazy group that overstayed their limit. The hosts were very nice and the bathrooms clean. Sites were well-maintained. We were surprised to be charged to park the boat and not planning on that expense. $10/day was too much. Otherwise, a great stay!

We had a great time in site 54, the campers across from us were great, they greeted us as soon as we arrived, the husband continued to engage us every time he drove by throwing up a 1 finger peace sign on the door frame of his truck. We got a 2nd site because I didn't want my 5 year old to be overwhelmed by the amount of attention they gave us, but I continued to use the original site. I hope to see them next year, maybe we can be right next to eachother.

We always love coming to Perry South campground. We have been going for at least 10-11 years!

Camp host don't communicate, the dock has screws that stick out and cut your feet. The fish station has a water issue but looks like they where trying to fix it when we were leaving.

The nearby toilet was squeaky clean and smelled citrusy! Camp hosts are doing a great job taking care of the grounds. The site is situated further away from the main driveway to the boat launch, on a hill, and feels more private. Partial shade (mostly full sun from 11-4pm). Very unique area to visit and look at the canyon and the lake. Not the best place to paddle though. The water has unpleasant green color and too many motorboats going fast on the way to Cove Palisades. If you do choose to paddle, go left into the Metolius arm. We only saw one motorboat going past us and it was nice and peaceful.

We've been coming to Perry South for decades. Sites are always clean and well maintained. On this visit, the restrooms/outhouses were immaculate! The camp hosts also had a great new visual sign for reserving a boat slip. I'd love to see boat slip rentals available on line in the future. NOTE! you still want to be bring cash/check to pay for boat slips or extra vehicles as paying with credit card is not a reliable option. See you next year!

Great campground. very quiet. Camphost was great. Liked the new change re boat slips since you know for sure you have your own spot when you return from boating. Worth the $10/day extra for sure.

Camping experience was fabulous. Really liked the new style pit toilets, no stink like old designs. We did a lot of canoeing. Easy to launch ramp area. No mosquitoes. Quiet neighbors. We'll go again.

The camp hosts were great!! They have been doing a great job of keeping the campground clean and well maintained. The addition of reserved boat slips has been a welcome addition to the facilities for the last couple of years. This has been very helpful to have a dedicated slip for our large 25ft pontoon boat.This year we were surprised and disappointed to find out that there's now a $10 per night slip fee. This new fee is not a good idea. We were also told that my disability Golden Access Pass is not good for a discount on this boat slip fee. It's good for the campground fees and day use fees, but not the slip fee. This fee on top of the campground fee is too much. This will definitely curtail our camping at Perry South. We already have cancelled our next trip to Perry South so we will be going somewhere else. Other than that, it was a great trip and enjoyed the fishing.

Love this little out of the way gem. No power or water. It’s the next best thing to hard camping. It’s well kept and clean. Easy access to good fishing.

Nice park and boat launch area. The park is well maintained and has a nice fish cleaning station. It gets a little noisy on weekend nights.

Beautiful spot with awesome access to the prettiest part of Lake Billy Chinook. The camp hosts are wonderful!

Bubba and Kathy were the best hosts! Bathrooms were clean and the place was clearly well run. Highly recommended

I was disappointed because a couple of times I've had campground reservations canceled by snow. When that happened there was a warning email a week in advance and then an email to tell me my payment had been refunded. With the trip to Perry South there was a warning email several days out that there was a forest fire next door and the campground was closed and under evacuation orders, but they expected to be open by my reservation date, Aug 5th. But the website showed the campground was closed and evacuated Aug 2nd and 3rd and 4th, but the website kept claiming they'd be open by the 5th. I made other plans. I never went to Perry South. I didn't know where else to check or who to call to know if the campground was really open and the website hadn't been updated or what. The website continued to state the campground was closed and evacuated on the 5th, the 6th, and 7th. By the 8th, and still no email about a refund, I requested a refund pointing out the fire hazard. It's been most of a week since my refund request and still nothing. It seems like there should've been some kind of email telling me to not make the trip, even just the morning of the reservation. And the difficulty with the refund is an extra poke in the eye. I'm just disappointed, maybe because they set a high mark for responsiveness and attention on other reservations but they left me on my own this time.

We love Perry South. This is our third year coming the same weekend. We see many of the same people each year. The camp is incredibly clean. Our kids were raving about the good smells from the pit toilets. Camp hosts run a tight ship and keep the place looking really good.

We have been coming to Perry South Campground for over 30 years. Unfortunately, this year, one particular camphost appeared to be on a mission to be as rude as possible. We spoke to other campers during our trip who shared similar sentiments. While they did an outstanding job of keeping the bathrooms clean, we could have gone without daily glares, snippy comments, and, what appears to be, a very jaded camphost.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
