Burchfield Branch Park Campground in Tuscaloosa county is located 56 min northeast of Tuscaloosa, AL with an elevation of 233 feet. There are a total of 37 campsites. The campground is open all year. 35 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 35 and 95 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 9 sites have electric and water hookups. 27 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $20.00 to $40.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, playground, boat ramp, swimming. Activities include biking, boating, fishing, floating sports.

The park is quite lovely with interesting traffic through Lock 12. Some sites may present problems for lower heighted slide outs, Quite a nice location. JRC

My first overnight stay at this campground was absolutely excellent. It was beautiful and my site could not have been better. Four days later on my second overnight stay there were problems. The first was when I was told someone was already checked in on my reserved site. The second was when I was told the only bathroom available to use for the campers was closed and locked because of low water pressure because of the amount of campers they had that weekend. I was told they would be opened for use later that evening. That never happened. In fact, by 8:30am the next morning it was still locked and not accessible. Very disappointing given the campground was so far away from a gas station or any other facility with a rest room.

Always love camping here! Campsites are large and wooded. Bathhouses are always clean. Camp hosts extremely helpful and friendly. And the catfish always bite!!

Well shaded camping area. Bathrooms and showers were well clean and maintained. Playgrounds and swimming area were also clean and well maintained. We will definitely camp here again.

Attendant has toddler running out in the middle of the road when pulling up. Bath house/womens side has feces on bench in shower and smeared on walls. It was like this the entire time of our stay. The original site was nothing but rotten wood. Because our camper was too large, we moved to a different site. This park needs some major renovations or just shut it down for good.

Our family of 6+ our doggo had a great weekend camping. The directions/signs were easy to follow. Checking in was also easy and the hosts were kind! The restrooms and showers were so clean and well maintained! The scenery is beautiful and the kids has a great time at the playgrounds. Would recommend!!

Well maintained facilities, helpful Campground hosts. Clean restrooms. Only issue is lack of cell coverage but that is probably beyond your control.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Sites were nice and level. Bathrooms with showers were clean. Only set back - no cell service and about 30 minutes to nearest town. Not a problem though.

Our campsite was #5. We had a great view at the lake Holt. It was very peaceful and quiet. There was no cellular service but we had a tv channel to check on the weather situation. The bathroom was nice, clean and warm. The camp host made sure we had a good time.

i would say more of a destination than an overnight stay ,as it was quite a bit off the main roads. we were traveling after dark and thankfully did not lost our cell coverage trying to find the place...

We had no Wi-Fi ate phone service at all that made me a little if something happened to one of us . It is a beautiful park we never saw anyone at the gate thank goodness we call to get the gate code and our lot number.

Park volunteers were great. Watching the barges pass on the river was cool. Space are a little tight for big rigs with slideouts. However, it was just disgusting to see all the litter on the way there near the mines.

The campground hosts were all kind and courteous. The site was very clean on arrival. There is 36 sites with eight on the waterfront. Sites 9-36 have one bathhouse that was very clean. Sites 1-8 have a restroom building at the gate, but it doesnt have a shower. There is no cell phone service at all. This is a remote area campground that has water, 50amp service and concrete pads. It has a boat ramp, swimming beach, pavilion on the water and two playgrounds for the children. Lake Holt is a beautiful lake.

This was our first time camping at an army corps campground, so we really didnt know what to expect. This campground is Way off the beaten path, and thus is very quiet, we enjoyed watching the buzzards and turtles and other wildlife. Cell phone service is absolutely non-existent tho, and it is a long way to town
